Honestly, I don't know but I will say that PPF could have saved you in this case. I would highly recommend having it installed after you take care of this bumper cover.

With bodywork you take whatever you think it will cost and then multiply by 2 or 3x. I would guess a strip and repaint of the front bumper $1000-1200 from a decent shop now.

It’s going to look off if you want perfection. I would just let it be to be honest lol. At least the bumper isn’t cracked or missing a chunk.

For DIY - the cost of touch up paint bottle (whatever it is these days, $30?) plus 15 minutes of your time. It will only be ~95% perfect, but this is an area that hardly anyone looks at closely. Ever.
BTDT.

To make it 100% perfect, the bumper will need to be removed and resprayed. Expect to pay somewhere ~$1,000-1,500.

Not a chance - any encounters with hard and abrasive surfaces == PPF will get shredded.
Same as those guys who recommend thin plastic "rim protectors" - the things that protect rims from anything other than actual encounters with curbs. Once your rim hits a curb, those things peel right off and the wheel gets curb rash anyway.
