Here's the clearance on a Signature forged SV104 19x9.5" wheel. It's about 4 times more clearance than a stock 19. The second pic's the clearance on 763M (CS) wheel for comparison.

did you order the m2/m2c M Performance Brake Kit? Wondering how you like it. I am thinking about doing it just because I do a lot of canyon driving and i need new rotors/pads soon so it would offset the cost. Already have done stainless lines and better fluid.

The one thing I'm slightly confused by is these are a step above the m2c brakes? I wish they weren't red but that is a dumb complaint considering the cost of the kit.

They are the same brakes, just in red.

I bought the kit and fitted it myself. The brake performance is massively better than the stock brakes at all levels except the dust is worse. After 3 stop signs, the wheels need cleaning

You need to code them as the pedal was a bit long prior to coding and didn't improve after pressure bleeding them about 4 times. Coding remedied the long pedal on first application. Surprisingly, the kit was cheap in Australia about 2k less than an AP or Brembo BBK.

If you buy it in parts only, you could buy the factory M2C silver calipers or the F8x CCB gold one's. Calipers are the same, it's just the retrofit kit calipers are red, a common BBK OEM and aftermarket caliper colour for many makes and models.

This is what i want also. red BBK in 763M but wow, theres NO space between rim and calipers. what if something gets stuck in between? no cooling also. ughhh hmmm

It seems BMW considers the clearance on OEM 19's is sufficient, but it's tight nonetheless.

I have the oem CCB brakes and used to have the 19” 437M wheels. They do fit but are very close. Lots of pebbles would get stuck between the barrel and the top of the caliper leaving lines in the wheels. I moved up to 20” wheels.

Absolutely blown away by the stopping power of this brake kit on my F80 after making the switch from the little 4 piston setup the car originally came with! Why didn't they put these on all the cars from the factory!!! Went with Ferodo DS2500 initially but swapped to Ferodo DS1.11 pads for a trip to Road Atlanta and my mind was blown stopping downhill at the end of the backstretch at 152mph !!!

I did a coding because the pedal just felt down the first milimeters without breaking and the system was bleeded properly by a bmw dealer.
So i got the M2C break coding and it was a game changer. Pedal felt nice and as it should be.

I did not do any coding and love how they feel with the DS1.11 they have so much initial bite (wife was not a fan lol). It did take a bleed cycle or 3 to get them to feel proper but there has been lots of track abuse over the year so I think I just had a bunch of old junk fluid that needed to get out. Need to swap back to the DS2500 soon and see if they have the same pedal feel because they didn't have the same feel of the current DS1.11 when I tracked the DS2500 earlier in the year.

If you are upgrading a 2018 M4 using the standard blue brake calipers to the M2C big brake kit, do you also need to apply this M2C coding that's been mentioned?

If so, why - what is the purpose?

No, no coding is needed if going from blue OEM to M2C setup.

No coding on two installs here... brakes feel and perform better than stock 4/2-piston calipers.
