On the flip side I just sold mine to Carvana:

Year: 2015
Model: M3
Miles:49,780
Sale Type (private or dealer): Dealer
Color combo: Mineral White/ Sakir leather
options: Executive, cameras, etc.
aftermarket parts: CF splitters, spoiler
Price: 38K
Location: Vegas

After selling off various parts I netted $40K. Not bad for a 2015 and not having to deal with tire kickers. They offered $32K back in October.

If you do decide to put it back to stock, let me know as I'd be interested in the Sterckenn spoiler
Yeah Im gonna put her up at $68k and take the best offer. see what happens. lol

Wow Great price then, especially from a dealer. I got an offer from Carmax for an identical build and it was $51K back in October.

Looking at either a 2018 M3 or 2018-2020 M4 in YMB or white. Found a couple nice cars both in white, loaded out DCT cars. First car is a 2019 M4 CPO 14k miles. Factory warranty is good till 8/23 with CPO adding another year on that. Dealer has it priced at $67k. Second car is 2018 M3 CPO with only 9.6k mi. Factory warranty good though 2/22 then CPO kicks in. Dealer has it priced at $64k. First car is out of state where I would have to fly down to see it in person. Sales Rep did send me a few grainy videos but she also pointed out a few rock chips on the bumper. Second car is about a 4 hour drive one way to see. Sales rep of course sez it is flawless.

I know it is not a fair comparison as one is a coupe and the other a sedan.. I like that the 19 M4 has more warranty left and is a newer year model. But I would have to fly down to see that car. I like that the 18 M3 has super low miles and I would not have to fly to see it. But the warranty is is one less year compared to the M4.

Not new to BMW's but this will be my first M car. Thoughts/ suggestions on those 2 cars and their price points being CPO cars?

I would look at the M3 if the body style makes you happy. 2018 is last yr for M3 so you can’t get any newer than that. At 64k you can probably ask a few thousand less and/or add your savings to extend warranty.
Be detailed about what the loaded out options are they vary a lot. Ask for the original sticker to see options or search via VIN. Asked for close up photos and request for detailed shots of any imperfections. Even four hours is still far to pick up a car and you don’t want to feel pressured buying it because you already drove that far. Good luck!

M3 is a ZCP car with Black Extended Merino Leather, Executive Package, M Double-clutch Transmission with Drivelogic, Active Blind Spot Detection, Apple CarPlay Compatibility, Wireless Charging, CF Frnt Attachment w/Aero Kit, Carbon Fiber Mirror Caps, Carbon Fiber Rear Spoiler, Stainless Steel Pedals. Original MSRP $83,195.00

Your right 4 hours is still long way to go. I know with Covid that a lot of dealers are doing this online buying but no way I would buy a $60k plus car without seeing it in person.

Hey all- new to the forum and looking for advice on my first M car.

Looking at a 2018 M3 ZCP and found one with the options I've been looking for (exec, M double clutch trans, M Drivers package)- it's got individual frozen black metallic paint which looks pretty sweet. Original MSRP was $94K. Has ~32K miles on it which I felt like was a lot for the sticker of $63K. It's from a small boutique dealership and has original warranty up to 50K miles and was just serviced at a BMW Dealer.

Anything you'd worry about before pulling trigger? Independent inspection necessary or good to go if checked out at dealership recently? My only hang-ups are the mileage and the maintenance of frozen factory paint.

Thanks!

It seems like a well optioned car. Just do your due diligence and go for it!

I think that seems reasonable with the car having sticker price of 94 and it being 3 years old, plus the frozen paint is rare. Prices have gone up on cars in general and the f80 from what I've seen (covid prices). Just look at listings within a wide radius like 500mi and see what they are going for with their comparable options and years. The s55 is pretty reliable and I would say the age would be more of a factor than the miles since the seals on bmws suck lol.
32k isn't that much IMO and car is only 3 years old. I didn't do an inspection on mine since it was cpo, just looked into engine bay and all body panels and gaps to see if any unreported accidents occurred, that's about it. Interior was in excellent condition too and no door dings. Just find out what you feel comfortable paying for this car and don't rush. I don't think this car is worth it's sticker price new, but that's just me.

Not from a dealer. Service records check out, so does the cars condition. Not everyone daily drove their F8X.

Can you give more details? Which packages and ZCP? Did you buy private or dealer.
