I don't get why they had to make it a metallic color. A flat blue in this shade seems like it would have been so much sportier.

But bsm looks so good vs both jb colors!
From far it has that pop, from close it has that wow.

Man, I'm really liking the f80 over the f82... didn't like YMB at first, but I'm thinking I'm a fan. Can't wait to drive one!

This color sucks!

Reminds me of Laguna Seca Blue that everyone was raving about when the e46 M3 came out. Then, suddenly, everybody hated it. It's always the same story with new funky or "exotic" colors. Everybody loves them at first, but with time people despise them.

Personally, I always thought LSB looked like vomit. And I know that the majority of people wouldn't be caught dead driving one of those.

Everybody raves at first, but then we all see people switching to white and black in the long run. Same old, same old.

agreed i dont like the baby blue or sky blue. looks like a fiat baby blue from 74. hated getting in that car.

Every single time I've seriously considered getting a new BMW, Estoril blue or the new version Monte Carlo blue is not offered. Happened with my E46 m3, happened with my E39 M5.... and now it seems to be the case with the new M3. GRRR!!!!!!! I refuse to pay 5k for a color but dammit I want my estoril blue dream car for once!

Speak for yourself, I wouldn't even consider a black E46 M3. Personally, I'd love an LSB as long as it didn't come with a grey interior (which most of them did). Now PY, that's a color I'm not interested in.

Have you guys seen the color choices for an F10? Dark blue, black, grey, white, silver. If you guys want to old boring white and black, no doubt the M3/4 will be offered in those colors. But I'm just glad there are some colors for once.

And yes, I like Techno Violet too

Techno Violet is definitely unique and beautiful. Just like Dakar, LSB, Estoril, MCB, Imola, etc. I'd only consider E46 M3 in Imola or LSB, on some sort of beige.

But this is baby blue.

On the F10, well that's a less flashy car, and more grown-up. The M5 has Sakhir (that actually looks nice), SSII, and MCB.

i had hopes for this color. loved estoril especially when special ordered on e46. but now its on every m sport F30 out there. mcb is nice but not nearly as dynamic as estoril was. love LSB. santorini my favorite. the only yellow i actually liked on bmw was atacama. damn hoping ymb and austin yellow don't turn out bad. phoenix yellow was worst color EVER on an M car.

Don't think you'll like Austin then. Might as well call it PYII IMO. I was wowed by the M4 concept, but definitely not the color.

YMB on the other hand, was love at first sight. It's definitely not for everyone, but I think it suits the M3 perfectly. My second choice at the moment is Sakhir Orange, that's also a very unique and dynamic color.

There's only one pic floating around, and I'm sure you've already seen it.

Like you, the only yellow I like is Acatama yellow or Porsche's Speed/Racing yellow.
