Today, I Turned 20

Well, I was sitting at 19,981 for the longest time. Finally a spring day arrived that was sunny and nice enough to bring her out.

Anyways, not sure why I felt compelled to save the drive for a spring day over a number but here we are:

Enjoy! It only goes up from there. Some of us wish we were back at 20k. Don’t worry too much about the mileage…just enjoy every single mile!

I just hit 30k this week myself.

Not trying to save it for anyone else...with work from home, just don't drive as much.

I wish I was 20 and/or had 20k miles on my car...

I am nearing the 60k mark, but at least I can say I've enjoyed most of them. Though yeah, I should've saved her from pilling so many miles on at least a bit.

Happy Friday, was a good week. Took it out for another hundred or so miles with the spring weather. So glad it's warming up these days a much more enjoyable ride when the weather is nice

I feel you with the WFH, same here. Also just crossed a bit over 30 not long ago as mine is my only car, I still enjoy watching her stand still

Nice! I'm sure it's weather related?

Yep. Since September it’s been wet just about all winter. Even now it’s raining most days. I’d absolutely love to take it out but it’s just not worth it. May as well wait till it dries up. I’m on cup2 tyres also.

Totally agree. I don’t really like taking the f80 out in the rain if I don’t have to. The torque and rwd is quite effervescent

I turned 33 this week Wishbone. You need to drive it more or your F80 will end up like my E24 that's only 105 after 38.5 years of ownership.

Really is how you modulate the throttle really. My F87 is my daily that I use all year round with either my PS4S when weather permits or PA5's for the cold winter / spring months. I'm also quite modded from stock being on hybrid turbos and upgraded fueling and the car when driving it sane handles the wet and cold just fine on the Michelin PA5s.

Make no mistake I've also pushed her a bit in the cold weather on corners, I have a good sense of when reaching the grip limits of the winter tires as the car is just far too enjoyable to only enjoy during a certain time of the year.

Totally get it. Here in NC there are really only ~2 months of the year where "winter" is upon us. Typically, january and february are the only two months of cold-enough temperatures for snow/ freezing rain/ ice so, not too bad.

The rain down here can really make people do some interesting things. On inclement weather days I'll just take one of our other cars.
