Ground clearance?

Started considering a GTS but one a lot of video's have noted the ground clearance issue particularly given how far the splitter sticks out.

Anyone either have a measurement or comparison as to how much worse (if at all) the clearance is to other equivalent sport cars?
I'd assume it would be able to clear a normal curb to a driveway at an angle?

I thought this would be a really big issue before I bought the car as I read stuff about it and the roads are really bad here. I bought my car sight unseen so had no idea what to expect. When the car arrived it was at track height so probably as low as it can get. Didn’t scrape once. These cars aren’t as low as I thought. I really wouldn’t worry about ground clearance at all, especially if I’m not scraping here in Dallas.

Since then I’ve had the car raised to street settings and it’s even better, now I really am not worried about scraping. If you’re really paranoid about it you can also buy a plastic splitter but it’s not a concern to me. The car is amazing and you won’t find anything better for the money.

Biggest issues could be speed bumps, and driveways that have a noticeable angle from the street. I find that approaching these driveways on on angle and slowly getting past the transition works for me. General street driving at low setting hasn’t been an issue.

I never understood this question on a car with adjustable suspension... Raise it and lower it as much as you want... remove the front splitter if you're worried about it. It's not fixed... nothing is. To each his own, i guess.

Ground clearance is about the same as comparable sports cars (GT3, etc). The only difference is that Porsche made the GT3 lip out of cheap plastic and BMW made the lowest part of the car out of painted CF (~$1200 to replace).

You run the splitter in the retracted position for daily use - if you're tracking the car, you adjust it to the fully extended position at the track. With the splitter removed and the car at street height, the ground clearance is ~4", which for most people is plenty.

I cannot run with the splitter or the car at track height because I scrape on my driveway, neighborhood exit, and a few other places around town with a steep approach angle.

The splitter clearance is certainly not a reason to not consider buying the car.

Just get an aftermarket lower splitter and not worry about rubbing a little. The splitter brackets are pretty strong so as long as you don't hit anything square they're not going to be fine. I got a fall line splitter painted from IND and it's taken a beating over the last year but I don't worry about it because it's basically a wear item at this point and when it's ground down to nothing I'll replace it. I'd rather shell out 600 dollars every year and a half but not worry about being too afraid to drive my car than the opposite.

I scrape fairly regularly driving around west LA with the car at track height. I only have the carbon upper splitter installed and have the orange lower splitter installed on my office wall. The scrapes are all light and nothing scary.

I scrape at some intersections where the grading isn't level where the two roads meet so I need to be careful about flying through at speed. I scrape every time I enter or leave my condo building parking lot because the sidewalk/street apron is steep. I can manage one of the entrances without scraping if I cut the entry angle but that entrance closes at 9p. I scrape in some shopping center parking lots, especially ones with built-in concrete water channels.

I need to raise the car about 5mm, I think. I don't want to bring it all the way up to normal street height because I like the 'rake' of the track setting.

Street height here. Never scraped once in 5000 miles. I replaced the splitter with the IND version for piece of mind but I probably did not need to.
Only need to worry about steep angle driveways entrance and exit and the concrete plots on parking lots (the worst for any sports cars)
