I drove by the scene where this happened to get evidence. They repaired the road! I reported this hazard yesterday, damn that was fast.

Take a pic of the repaired pothole on your phone for a matter of record and still file a claim if possible.

Although, there won't be replacement since it doesn't meet the criteria. Which is understandable, I'm in the process of filing a claim. Hopefully VA will cover it.

^ Maybe not specific to your case, but in general people tend to spend good money on wheel/tire coverage, only to find in the end it doesn't cover our expectations. Been there, done that, and never again.

Yah once the weather settles down, I'll be sending it back to the guy who sent it to me. He'll fix'er right up for 225$ including shipping to him and me. Sounds like a very good price.

Sucks. The potholes have been especially bad this winter

Hopefully they cover it for you. What is your winter setup? Are you running staggered? I tried to get the car late enough this winter so that I can wait until next year to get the winter wheel/tire setup. Just sold my winter set for my E46s this past fall since I no longer had the car. Spring cannot get here soon enough

The wheel you see in the first post is my winter setup (359 style). I'm running a 255/35 square setup. Going to get 275 for the rear once the threads wear out.

Same. Now adays these extended wheel/tire 'warranties' come with so many stipulations that it's almost impossible to file a claim. I've seen it all from, cant hold air, to must file within 24hours, need to have police report, doesnt cover curb rash even associated with pot holes... they'll do anything not to pay out.

The one I was offered when I bought the car was administered by some shitty 3rd party company that had over 170 BBB complaints against them. Did more research and there were even cases that involved litigation and still outstanding.

Are they 19s or 18s? Going wider will help provide a little lip protection but really what you need is a taller sidewall. On my winter setup I'm running 18s with 255/40s. For snow you want to go as narrow as you can but I don't know the specs of the e92 wheels so not sure how wide they are to begin with

So you are running Square 18s? I have until next fall to figure this out, but probably need to start looking at it eventually.

Surrounding areas of NOLA is probably worse. Pot holes, uneven road, and small rocks everywhere.

Yessir square setup. The rims are 8.5 and 9.0 I believe but that's negligible for 255 tires.

If they're OEM it doesn't matter. It will cover factory wheels regardless of where you bought them
When I bought the insurance previously it was underwrote by Nation Safe and they covered my cheap winter wheels bought from tirerack. Actually ended up getting new wheels since repair cost would have been roughly the same.

Op hopefully you get some of that property tax back or just ask for a credit instead for the damages.
