sorry i should have been clearer. Im the owner of the business and i have 4 spaces with the office that i rent which is directly behind my car in the picture. my other staff all walk to work so i make use of my spaces by parking across them. its not a public car park and i have bought 4 tickets, that would be funny and indeed inviting a keying!

Renting an entire office just so you have 4 spaces for your car is a bit much.

If I could knock the wall down it would make a good garage. We could work outside in the parking bays!

I parked in good company today (at the back of the car park of course.) gave her the respect of the alternate space parking naturally. kind of like selecting a urinal in a public toilet...

Taking up 2 spaces is a NONO even if you own a McLaren. Unless you own that parking property.

Disagree. Tried too many times parking as far away as possible in a single spot, only to come back and find some joker parked right close next to me even though there are many open spots available even closer in. Not sure why this happens but can only speculate they are trying to break my balls or just don't like BMWs owners so making a statement of ...., whatever.

Now, with spaces available, I'll take 2 whenever I can, as far away as I can. So be it. Don't like being this way but the inconsiderate few force me to become one myself albeit for different reasons, the former being they don't give a shit for other people's property and swing doors open without care, the latter(myself) being one of protecting what I've worked hard to own and have pride in.

i understand your rationale, but you then open yourself up to even more vindictive MF-ers that will key your ride for taking up 2 parking spaces....even if it's far away.

thusly, it may be a lesser of two evils. i will try to get a corner/curbside spot as far away as possible, so that only one person can park to one side of me.

far too many self-righteous, success hating assholes in this country.

Point taken, yeah there are those that will do intentional harm as they feel self anointed to make right all that is wrong in the world.

I do opt for corner/side spots when lots are busy, it would be understandably annoying if I was in a situation of doing laps looking for spots when someone has taken 2.

Agreed, pissing people off is never a good thing!

It's a fine line between opening up too much space, and just enough for safety.
Here's a pic in my garage...i'm at the end of a row, so no one to my left. I'm not straddling the yellow line, but just 'on it' a bit. Sometimes if you open up the space though idiots will ignore lines and just park where they think they should.

Need Parking Apps

Very Nice spot.

All you Mobile APP builders need to consider creating a "Parking Locator App" which will describe those protected spaces at each geographic location. Searchable, and able to use your location services. This could be helpful if going to mall, or a movie, restaurant, etc., and direct user to the location of those hidden gems. Like proceed to floor 3 section 2 for end cap with pillars protecting car. Could be crowd updated. And include posting pics of your car in that spot.

Although, a spot like this might need to be kept a secret.

I was in awe when I came out to this. Had an opportunity to talk to the owner and it was awesome.

My favorite spot. Wide on both sides and no chance of a ding. Plus swing out easy on the exit.

Don't know whether it was intentional but the guy parked defensively. You're less likely to ding his car when you open your door.
