Unhappy Autotalent

Hi all, here to share my ongoing nightmarish experience with Autotalent.

I purchased an AWE exhaust system from Autotalent back in November of 2024. Nowhere on their product page did it state a midpipe (extra $700 item) is required for the exhaust to fit. In fact, on the page it stated "Guaranteed fitment" I had to call AWE directly to be told their axleback exhaust wouldn't fit directly. The product page doesn't exist anymore on Autotalent's site likely due to my complain, but I have screenshots of all of it. I requested a return within 30 days and they provided me with the label, it ended up getting lost in transit somehow but thankfully I kept receipts from the courier and sent it to them so they can make a claim. Fast forward to mid-January of 2025 and they sent me an email stating I could expect it back in my account within 5 business days. As of 2/18/25 I have not gotten my money back. They are withholding almost $1600 from me. I've been back in forth with two customer service agents and one of them self proclaiming as the "Executive Assistant of the company" and all they say regarding the delays is that they've sent multiple followups to the appropriate team and they themselves have not heard back from them. I also contacted the shipping courier and they sent me proof the claim was paid out to them, so at this point Autotalent has been reimbursed and they are keeping my money hostage at the same time. They have also stopped responding to my emails as of last week, and calling is no help because I am not able to speak to the "relevant team" and the people on the phone are unable to speak with them directly as well.

I know shipping/return issues are a rare occurrence, but it happened to me. And I'd rather warn everyone here that in case it does happen to you, better let it not be from Autotalent because you will lose your money and the item. I hope if there are other vendors reading this they know how to deal with things like this when they happen.

Thank you. I opened a dispute with them recently after clear signs that Autotalent ceased all communications with me even after claim being paid out.
