I sold my '18 M3CS (20k miles) about 6ish weeks ago. Sold it to a used BMW specialty dealership for $68k. To be fair, my car needed all new tires because the Cup2s were at 1mm and the front splitter was also damaged. They listed it for $76k and it was there for about a month.
With lower miles, and frozen paint, it should fetch more, but this market is all over the place these days. I'd say that, Private Party, your friend should hopefully be able to get a decent amount, but it is going to take some time to find the right buyer.

Just a guess
$72k car max or vroom $78k private party $85,998 sitting on dealer lot That's a stunner. If ur a true friend convince him to keep it. F80CS with killer looks, CFRP driveshaft, DCT, 4 doors, manual handbrake, bespoke interior bits and an analog gauge cluster is hard to beat. |

Hi Ex Stig,
I think I may have purchased your F80 M3 CS in Arizona. Would you mind if I reached out to you to get more back ground on the car? Thanks! Craig |

If the last 2 digits of the VIN at 42, then yes, that was mine. Feel free to shoot me a PM with any questions.
