100% I'm in. Been waiting for this one, just kind of bitter sweet coming to the end of driving season. No snow for my baby.

I should be able to make this one!! Question: I have a a buddy with a 1989 560 SEL and a 1987 924. He's not only a German car fan (DD's over the years have included an E28, Jetta GLI, Vanagon, Eurovan), he just happens to be German. His 924 is not running at the moment but would it be cool for him to join with his 560 SEL?

(Edit: turns out he's not available). In any case I plan to go!

That's too bad...but yes any German cars are welcome to join.

I drove (or should say attempted to drive) the pre-planned route yesterday and unfortunately this area is still reeling from the effects of Hurricane Ida. Many of the connector bridges along the cruise route are not passable and are closed due to failures. I ended up giving up after driving around fir nearly 4 hours trying to piece together a decent route, and its just not really possible. It is my understanding that many of the bridges will be closed until spring for repairs. So as a result, I'm sad to say that the covered bridge tour will be cancelled.

That's unfortunate, but thanks for all your efforts Chris!

No other scenic drives in the region?

It is very unfortunate. I was expecting to see you guys before the end of driving season. Thank Chris for the effort. I will see you probably next spring.

BCX is going to give it a shot with an abbreviated cover bridge tour on October 3rd...followed by a picnic at peace valley park. I believe they are only able to get to 3 bridges and the route is not very scenic. I can post the details if you interested.
