I too run the Dinan X-pipe and muffler and it is my understanding that with the VRSF midpipe, the x-pipe would need to go away. So I would make an educated guess that would be the case here also.

Those are universal so ECS probably wouldn’t say it fits. Just make sure the diameter matches your piping and you’re golden.

Even in your PDF installation instructions you can see that is NOT the clamp pic you just posted, with NO "Germany/Audi" print (pic 1)... I received the same clamps. Got my midpipe January of 2019. Obviously I didn't use them.

They sent me the German clamp that they listed in their photo. It still rusted a bit as well. I don't really see the big deal, exhaust hardware does and will rust. If it's a big deal I suggest doing preventative corrosion maintenance on a schedule.
You could periodically remove the corrosion from the hardware and apply a corrosion inhibitor.
I think once every 3 months would do then adjust your schedule as needed

I was just suggesting to new buyers to put on decent couplers vs cheap AA/Chinese ones.

Based on two reports from forum members, definitely it's not a well handled response from AA. Also even if "Made in China" or "Made in Germany" doesn't matter much practically, it's not so nice way to cut cost for a $1000~1500 product that should be ensured with a proper respect on quality as well as customer orientation perspective.

They had an M2C prototype with an equal length midpipe. There are sound clips on Instagram.

But I am wondering if they will have a resonated version for the M2C?
