An engine is an air pump. Anything you can do to help the breathing will be beneficial. If it's worth the price of admission (at this point) is another question, but normally there are some nice gains to be had with the addition of a cam. Hopefully someone does a before/after and the tuning can develop.

What was your build and your times before the cam?

Besides the Schrick what other work is being done now?

motor is at VAC now and will return in the new year . Had all of the mods before but the internal build was the last thing to do . before build I had 759whp with 780 fpt got scared I was going to blow my motor so I send it to Vac about a month ago . Its winter in Toronto now so probably won't test motor till March or April

Very nice build! I'm right near Philly so a VAC bottom/top build is in my plan book for next Christmas.

No stickers

Are you keeping the same capacity, stroke and comp?

Unfortunately for the most of us we won't know the improvements of the cams as you are doing a full head build which I'm assuming will include porting and polishing etc. Will be interesting to see how the power band changes with the new cams.

Good luck with the build!

I see Keis Motorsports is starting a build with these cams. I wonder if this a worthwhile upgrade while installing a pinned crankshaft hub?

Been sub'd since late last year, anybody else running these cams? I can't imagine what the S55 would sound like with a Single Turbo at 8k RPM's.

update

Vac has had my motor since November 2020 i was told when i shipped my motor that they are extremely busy and a realistic time line to receive my motor back would be mid may to mid june . It's now mid September and I was told in August that i will receive my motor back before Christmas. Missed the whole summer without my car . I was told when I paid in full my motor would go into line , parts would all be ordered and waiting for my motor to reach the beach. My motor reached the bench for tare down in mid may . i was told in earlier June when i was expecting my motor to be complete that they dont have my parts , they are back ordered . i paid 22k in full in the January i would have paid sooner but it took 1 month to get quote . i am choked that such a big company treats there customers like this . I was told to not worry when I get my motor back i will be so happy that i will forget the time it took to get there . I advise anyone who wants to deal with Vac to think twice before committing to this company if your looking to have a motor built in a reasonable time .

That is a long timeline but supply chain issues are slowing down lots of parts & processes. Hope you get your engine soon!

VAC has been this way since the E36… but they are still around because the stuff they do works. I do believe that patience will pay off.
