yes, the top silver part actually moves up and down to adjust to the size of the phone since this is utilized as a stand for the phone as well. Should have no problems.

Prefect, can also be used as a stand while the phone is charging. The battery is rechargeable so the base does not have to be plugged all the time

Question- is it magnetic, or is there something to keep the phone in place? I keep my phone in the cup holder and every time I step on the gas the phone is all over the place.

Not magnetic, you see the silver tab on the top, that can adjust to hold different sizes of cell phones. Stays nice and put all the time.
