What's really funny about this is on the day I received mine I did a full (or at least what I thought was a full check of the pack list). Then as I was about to go to bed later in the evening I was like "hmm what about the spanner wrenches?"

So went back and checked and found them stuck to the bottom.

Sadly after install the wrenches go live with the rest of my collection! LOL! Which is when I realized "what the hell was I worried about, I already have the wrenches I need!"

I posted this in another thread but it deserves to be in the master thread:

Recommended height for 20s is 633/626mm or 24 7/8 / 24 5/8" from bottom of rim to fender.

Minimum is 350/325mm from center of rim to fender or with 20s 24.5/ 23.5" from bottom of rim to fender.

GTS street height is 24.5/ 24 13/16" from bottom of rim to fender. This is why I did 24.5" f/r. Going below 24.5" rode like shit and was clearly under damped no doubt it will eat the shocks going below min range. I've experienced this before with pss9s.

1.8 is the answer at min.

Here are a few shots of mine with MPHAS + 12mm spacers all around

F8x ///M BONE STOCK HEIGHT Factory Setting
Front: 685.8mm
Rear: 685.8mm

BMW MPHAS RECOMMENDED SETTINGS is
Front: 633mm | -52.8mm less than FACTORY STOCK height
Rear: 626mm | -59.8mm less than FACTORY STOCK height

MY REQUESTED settings installed
Front: 626mm | -7mm less than mphas oem drop height
Rear: 619mm | -7mm less than mphas oem drop height

outcome and look below:

the gap is pretty much 1finger clearance for the rear and 2finger clearance for the front.

I'm thinking of lowering the front a bit more to make it 1finger as well...but still deciding.

Do you happen to know the MAX mm drop for the front and back on the MPHAS? Thanks!

I have the 19F/20R 763M set, do I need to take any extra consideration when it comes to the MP HAS as a result? Probably a stupid question guess the measurements will just be different.

You need to update to the latest available software. The end of the instructions state:

- Carry out steering angle adjustment
- Carry out a standard chassis measurement with DIN loading as described in ISTA No. 32 00 150
- Carry out a chassis measurement and adjust using the standard chassis adjustment data

Irrespective of update the software first or last, an ICM calibration is required after work is complete.

I am aware of what spring pre-load is. I am stating that prior to the ICM calibration, the shocks felt overly stiff. I expect the default EDC programming increases the damping the more the shock is compressed (dynamic damping) and the 20mm drop was confusing the ICM sensors.

Regardless of my theory, it rides better after calibration.

You are fine with 60.4, 61.x is not required. I used the upgrade to 61.0 to reset the ICM calibration and would expect similar results if I had done the ICM reset with 60.4
Is this something Alex at alpine can do?

I would ask Alex but I don't see why not if the car is parked on a level surface. The only caveat is I have no idea it it's possible to trigger the ICM calibration in E-Sys.

Yes, the installation instructions give you heights for 18,19 and 20” wheels, for both axles.

Hey just curious how these are treating you in SF? I also live in SF and just picked up a '18 F82 ZCP (same thing) and debating between this kit and the Dinan kit. How's the ride quality? Who installed them for you and what did you pay for install?

I'd love to know this too. Worth asking him.

$1700 seems ridiculous to install some springs and do an alignment.....the whole reason I bought this kit was to retain my factory warranty, and to do that I have to have it installed by a dealership. Pretty annoyed right now.
I paid 2200 euros for suspension and installation together = $2700 dollars. That was tax free. Otherwise it would've been $3000.

I have never liked the silver 666 wheels, but they look very good in black. With your exterior color, they look absolutely perfect. I wouldn't want it any other way. Nice job.
