Don't stress, pick SS lol! SS is not just another ordinary silver color, when next to other silver cars you can see how different it is from others.

SSII is dynamic (look at it in different lighting conditions) and shows off the lines better as you've noticed, but won't be as loud or exciting as a color but that's the trade off. It all comes down to what you want out of the color on your car.

I do love blue though and everytime I see YMB I really like it, but I already have a blue M3 so I decided against it (for now )

YMB gets my vote, THAT shows the lines more than SS IMO

SS is more subtle yet a great color. YMB is good too but more of attention grabber.

Boils down what you looking for. Both great colors. Subtle vs attention.

PS SS gets attention just not as much.

Thanks - its a difficult choice. I sometimes say to myself "you had YMB M3 for 3 years, maybe try some other color!". Change is sometimes good. But then if I got YMB, no one would probably even realize I got a new car (which is somewhat good).

Do you ever get compliments about the color? With my YMB I constantly get compliments. I'm just worried that with SS it will be just another silver car. But do really like it, and really like the aspect of how the color changes plus how it shows the lines of M3.
Trust me, too much attention is not a good thing. Car pretty much stands out as it is without the extra help, good luck. BTW, my choice for an M color would be Sakhir or SS11, my 2 cents.

Yes! We did! How is the car? Enjoy it! I'm still thinking about the color :-). Have a car on order but thinking of changing few things while I can :-)

this, IMHO, what used to catch my eyes since I was a kid looking at M cars is those awesome M colors like Phoenix Yellow and Laguna Seca blue, now we also have Sakhir Orange to add to those exciting colors. If I was gonna buy an M car again, it has to have one of those special M colors like YMB, AY, SO, or perhaps an individual color. Everything else looks boring, it'd look just like any other 4 or 3 series. (no offense to anyone who owns any other colors, just stating my personal preference)

Well, she's certainly great to look at lol. She hasn't moved since Tuesday with all this snow n freezing temps outside. I am working on my winter setup so I can get it out regularly as it is my DD. I will be posting pics and more of an impression the more I drive it. Planning on getting it out today and tomorrow as the temps should be higher in the coming days.

Obviously I'm in the YMB camp. But honestly, the comparo shots would be a much better comparison if your car had the current blacked out headlights and black grill surround. I would love the look of both of those details on YMB. I have the black grill surround and would LOVE the head light look if money was no object!

Yes, the black pieces like the grill, the head lights, the black wheels, etc, make a big difference and YMB would look better with those as well.

So the new YMB with ZCP would also have the black accents.

I enjoy my YMB a lot. But SS looks good too, and not sure I would be happy with it for the next 3 years. Was thinking maybe a change would be good.

I currently have Yas Marina Blue M3 and love it, but saw Silverstone at the dealer and really liked it as well.

Took some pics with the iPhone, but my Blue car was a bit dirty. To me the Silverstone seems to show the aggressive lines of M3 better.

What do you think?
Yas Marina. Silverstone can easily be mistaken for any other mainstream silver 3-series especially here in LA where lots of 320/328 owners put fake M-badges on their trunks. But Yas Marina is instantly recognizable as an M-car.

Same can be said of AW, MW, MG, and BSM. I think M cars should only be offered in M specific colors but who am I. Nobody.

Silverstone II is my favorite color as I rather miss titanium silver from my E46 M3 days. Not a fan of the rainbow bright blue or yellows or oranges etc. Any classic silver is timeless. Won't ever go out of fashion.

And in LA, nobody cares about your M car. Or your leased 911. Or even that Lambo. LA only cares about itself so if you want to put an M badge on your regular 3-series, go on and be your bad self!

Bad comparison, you're yas don't even have led headlights, standard 18's of course the silver stone is going to look better, competition pack lci led headlight 2 big difference.
