Picked one up from Carmax

Im one of the many people who went "oof" at the original MSRP, but when I was casually looking around to see current prices I saw one at a local carmax for 79,998. I went an inquired about seeing it, and how much the famous Maxcare warranty was for 60 months for the car. When they came back with prices way below expectations (1900 to 2700 for the low deductible) I jumped in my car to go see it. Ended up putting the car on hold for a two days while i figured out finances and picked the car up two days ago. When I asked to make sure they filled me up with 93 AND a full tank of distilled water they got very confused

Impressions are inline with all the reviews that have been done. It's a raw car. It's a special car. The rarity of it are really what sold me. Ive always been a fan of "one offs" and special edition models built for maximum performance.

After buying the car I realized it was once on Bringatrailer. Neat.

Very nice acquisition. That car never popped up on my searches, but I wasn't checking CarMax. Guess I'm adding a CarMax query for the GTS trim just in case someone else trades one in.

Congrats! That CarMax warranty isn't a joke man, that literally just saved me from a $16,000 bill on my X5 recently. Hopefully you won't have to use it, but it's legit if you do.

Nice find! I'm surprised they had a GTS at CarMax. They normally have high line sports cars auctioned off.

Congrats. Beautiful car.
You appreciate the rarity even more when you are the only one of it's kind among half of dozen 911 GT3's, Ferrari's and McLaren's at any given weekend cruise or car meet

Congrats! How did Carmax have a GTS?! lol I mean it’s not the first or even 3rd place you’d look for one.

I was told a rich student from the university traded it in on his way out of the country for cash. Carmax would never carry this car normally but if someone trades in a car they can sell it...

carmax takes anything under 100k, regardless what it is, if they can't retail it, they just sell it off at the auctions.
