Winter tires needed in Texas?

I know this is a bit early, seeing as it got to 102 °F here today but........I just purchased a new M4 ZCP with 20" 666 wheels and the factory Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. 265/30/20 front and 285/30/20 rear. Michelin doesn't recommend these tires below 40 degrees. The car will be in DFW area and while we typically don't get really bad winters, it most certainly can get into the teens a few times and stay at or below the 30's for a few days straight. So do most of you just stick to factory tires (summer tires) and chance it or put on winter or all season tires? If you stick to summer tires have you had any issues with traction or the tire actually cracking or otherwise being damaged?

If I need winter tires I'll get a set of 19 wheels and just swap them myself. I know there are more winter tires in the 18" and 19" sizes than 20" and I don't want to mess up a wheel or tire bead with excessive installations on the factory 20" wheels. Would probably go with the Michelin PILOT ALPIN PA4.

Congrats on the new ride!! Post some pictures! And for the tires, I don't know about the other people here but me personally, I just use the Michelin Super sport year around. Haven't had any problems, thankfully.
