An RS6 took me to *Gap*plebees

I had no idea how fast those wagons are until today. Mind you, he hit the gas first and I was already a couple cars behind, but this MF straight walked away up top. I would've kept going but I hit the speed limiter around 168mph. Couldn't go any faster. The chase was fun though! It was a 2019 RS6. Beautiful car!

Time for a tune!

The E63S/M5/RS6 segment is absolute bonkers in terms of straight line performance

My 2016 M4 also hit 168 (271 km/h) on the A81 heading toward Stuttgart during our Euro Delivery in May 2016. My wife also hit 271 km/h on the A8 on the way back to Munich from Spa, Belgium about a week later. I sure miss those high-speed runs on the Autobahn!

We may not ever have the Nurburgring or the Autobahn in the US, but i would be happy if we could at least get the RS6...

I threw a BM3 Stage 1 tune on it and a lot of these cars don't exactly 'walk away' on me anymore hehe.

The RS6 is a wet dream. No shame in losing a straight line race with it, it's just a bonkers car.

Would be really cool if it did. I just wonder how well it would actually sell. I know they mention there is interest for wagons here, and it's an amazing car, but you don't really see many wagons on the road anymore.

It's true that poorly-trained fellow drivers can sketchy so no Autobahn, also we don't have anything like the Nürburgring. But, in an 8-hour radius from my house, for example, I could be on Watkins Glen, NJMP, Pitt Race, Mid-Ohio, Nelson Ledges, any of Summit Point's three tracks, VIR, Dominion, the National Corvette Museum, Roebling Road, Road Atlanta, Atlanta Motorsports Park, or Barber. So we don't have it all bad here.

Wagons are life over here and mom in her Audi or BMW station wagon owns the road.

That's exactly what I need to do until I return back stateside for good. I'll be ordering one in the next couple of months.

I was going to buy one over the M3; however, once I heard that I couldn't take it back stateside I changed my mind.

Wifey's 2018 X5M would be up for sale faster than a New York minute if this RS6 Avant beauty ever makes it stateside

I had a TT RS walk my stock M4 ZCP a few nights ago. That little 5 cylinder is FAST. So did my brother in laws RS5.

I'm afraid to tune my car with 2k on the odo due to the crank hub issue.

Did I make a mistake buying a BMW?

Yeah the fact that the article uses the words “could” and “likely” makes me stop short of believing , but my hopes are up

For sure man! You should go trade it and take the bath on depreciation!

/sarcasm

Don't take everything you read online as gospel. The crank hub thing may be real, but it's also really rare. I'm still on the fence as to whether it's user error (at least in the manuals) or not.
