Sorry for such a vague question, but I noticed the rear width size + offsets doesnt seem very common. Any opinions on the wheel sizes below? I assume tire options will be great, and I would prefer to not have to deal with spacers. I will very likely get coilovers and will be doing a very modest drop. These will most likely be 80% for track use. Thanks!

Trying to see if this setup would work on M3 at stock ride height and which front would be best. I think it will but just not quite sure

19x9 ET 15 or ET 20 front on 265/35/19
19x10 ET 25 rear on 285/35/19

That’s too aggressive, I would do 30-31mm max on a 10.5. I am also assuming this is a rear application.

This will 100% not work. Im running 19x10.5 +32 295/30/19 and I barely fit (sometimes rub on steep hills)

Help needed please!!! New to the forums, just purchased first m3. I also purchased a set of wheels on ebay thinking I got a great deal and unique perfect fitting wheels... after snooping around on here I'm starting to question my purchase and would like some ogs to shine some light possibly.

1) wheels advertised as demo set with less then 50 miles. I came across some old threads for 2015 about these wheels I think. 'Jason's m3 adv1 adv.6 time.for something different'.

2) regardless of history, will these fit? I dont see anyone with 12 in rear ??

I might just be getting paranoid waiting for the wheels to be installed but just figured I'd pick everyones brain, thanks.

Let me give this a shot ~ I could be wrong but you may have issues with electronic traction control running 275/30/19 & 295/30/19 combo (Its the front aspect ratio of 30 may give you issues). Put the combo in the aspect calculator and see what ratio it gives you. I think running anything more than 2% deviation is asking for alot of issues.

I personally would be more concerned with the front as there is less room to work with there. I would assume you would need a narrow linear set of coilovers + some camber to clear the front, but what is going for you is the 30 aspect and not the 35 recommended. The fact that the rears will be a bit more "stretched" than "meaty" is also working for you.

As for the rears, its pretty aggressive but as long as you dont lower it too much, you should barely be able to get away with it. You will rub occasional during compression and quite possibly damage your fender if you are too low (too low= anything lower than factory height with those sizes lol). If you havnt done so already, I would lean towards a stiffer spring rate if possible. Just to throw in another curveball, depending on which tire brand/type of tire, even within the same tire brand, the sizes ARE different. For example, not all "275/30/19" are created equal, and some will fit no problem while others will have major issues.

go look on the for sale forum, i see some wheels that are 20" but not as wide as 12".

Honestly, I personally wouldnt do it, I rub both from and back ever so slightly as it is and have a very modest drop and have pretty stiff springs...

This thread has provided alot of really useful information thus far for me. I have just recently purchased a 2016 M3, and living in NJ I am in need of a set of wheels for the winter. I came across a really nice pair online used but not sure if they will fit. This is all a bit new to me and I'm trying to learn as I go.

The specs on the wheels I found for sale are: front wheels are 19/8.5+30 and the rear is 19/9.5+30 5x120 Verde V99 AXIS

Any help/advice is greatly appreciated!

These will fit just fine.
Check out the calculator from the website below. These folks seem pretty knowledgeable regarding fitment issues.

After plugging in the size of your wheels compared to stock it appears that the new fronts will have 5mm more inner clearance (5mm further from the suspension components such as the strut), and will retract by 7mm (meaning that the wheel will sit deeper in the wheel well, or more underneath the fender). This is a fit that is pretty close to stock, and that 7mm may not be that perceptible. If it is, and it bothers you, you can always get a wheel spacer to make up the difference.

According to the same calculation the rears will have 16mm more inner clearance, and will extend slightly further out of the wheel well by 3mm. This is an inconsequential amount and will not result in rubbing issues. Consider that many people, including myself, run spacers that extend the wheels out. I run a 10mm spacer in the back with the 666m wheels. No issues whatsoever. Some folks run even larger spacers.
