I don't believe these have even been released yet - their insta post says details will come in the next month. I assume they are gearing up the product page for release. Definitely a reasonable price for what it is and what comps go for, and sounds great.

My $0.02 on these systems and "price": I think people shouldn't be concerned with price because all these systems are in line with "M" pricing ~$2.5k - $3.5k. Honestly, I think a mid pipe would get anyone 90% there on sound and will cost ~$500 to have fabricated by a decent (and HONEST) muffler shop... So when we're fighting about "$3,XXX (and the rent) is too damn high!" let's all be real with ourselves and concede that you could get this done for a whole lot less with a little elbow grease and ingenuity...

Anyway, I'm pretty stoked that this is becoming mainstream - I just hope all the inevitable exhaust manufacturers give the rightful credit to the community that has pushed this into the mainstream. It's been said already, but never will be enough - so thank you Ntg, Spool, RMD, and everyone else who has been contributing!

Buddy for you to say that the midpipe gives 90% of the sound you are ignoring the R and D that these guys did. They already tried that and obviously they would sell the midpipe if it did work. Thereís a reason for it

Disagree - but please enjoy whatever exhaust system you like!

I love how "R&D" is the answer to justify every overly expensive thing.

NTG44, RMD and myself may have sparked conversations and did our own set-ups, but it was the community and the demand that showed how much interest there was to get something on the market.

side note, the mid-pipe solution works, a few of us did this, its just not a convenient solution as it requires welding so currently it's custom-only. It may not sound like a single turbo i-6, but it sounds a heck of a lot better than any non-EQ S55 exhaust out there (at least in my opinion, but I'm partial).

If that being said, you can modify any stock or non-stock mid-pipe to achieve the same thing, no need to purchase a new exhaust system if you have an aftermarket one. Total for mine was about $450 to get this done on my stock exhaust, some have gone cheaper than mine.

I totally agree. Unless you want to keep stock system for future resale when bringing back to stock(if at all) donít see a point spending $2.5-3.5k for an exhaust.
Iím sure there will be shops who will work with current stock set up and provide solution to customise it so it will sound good.
To add you can always trade your custom set up for stock and a bit money to you on top,so not really loosing out!!
This kind of trade done regularly in V8 M3 community :modded back box + modded x pipe /for stock system + bit of cash on top.

I'm almost 100 percent going to order the AA system, just waiting on how it looks... hopefully, they can offer an option with no logo tips for a more stealthy appearance.

Are you working on an alternative solution where one could keep their MPE or will this be a full exhaust only option?

I do think there is something in the stock muffler thatís restricting. I can say this because we both did the midpipe at the same time

IMO, Majority of "R&D" cost should go into ntg, spooltwice and RMD and such people's bank account here lol who brought it up and shared their experiments. At least for the "R" part. Manufacturers don't deserve it much really. Having that said, I like some company offers "upgrade kit" to their existing product.

I have the AWE Switchpath exhaust and would not even hesitate to chop it up with a reputable exhaust fabricator to make it sound better. Especially for under $500. Anyone know of any exhaust fabricators in Los Angeles that does a good job? Also, Mr. Spool twice, care to send me some detailed photos of your setup so I can have said exhaust guy mock me your setup. I think yours sounded awesome and really isn't much different than all these newer "complete" systems.

So agree...lol

How many weeks or months on R&D can you spend on an existing platform? Such a bullshit just to have a excuse, it's not that most manufacturer need to buy a car for the R&D.

Ok guys who have already modded your exhaust to equal lengths, this is a photo of my AWE Switchpath exhaust. How would I modify this to become equal length? I have also attached the photo that spool twice made. I'm trying to figure out how to recreate it on my exhaust.

From my understanding, since there is an X-pipe early on in this particular exhuast, there is no way post x-pipe for you to equalize the exhaust. The only way to do that would be by getting the length of your downpipes equalized PRE X-PIPE, which I understand to be pretty much impossible.
