eBay CF Steering Wheel Insert

Ever since the M Performance steering wheel came out I've always wanted to get the carbon fiber insert, but due to the price and install procedure I never took the plunge.

However, I recently came across this CF insert on eBay during a flash sale so I decided to give it a try: http://www.ebay.com/itm/USA-14-16-BM...500527?vxp=mtr

Since it's a stick-on, installation was very simple. There is 3M tape on the inside but you don't actually need it as the trim slides between gaps in the steering wheel and fits pretty snug.

What do you guys think?

PS. I have no relationship with the seller, just thought I'd share my experience since I haven't seen a review on this before.

Something about it seems off....not sure what it is but overall looks alright for the price.

not bad price wise but I think it's too much CF. I would have prefer the inner part to remain silver.

No gap in the bottom spoke? It's covered like the M-Sport wheel?

So I bought the steering wheel and it came with the trim and just sold the wheel and kept the trim.

If you like it thats whats important.

You asked so I'll share my opinion... I dont like it. Its just too chunky; the weave and the whole thing all together. It looks odd having the ///M logo so sunken in, no cut out in the middle of the bottom and it looks like it comes up too far on the top.

I will say, if none of those things bother you, great buy! Best of all, if the next owner does not want it, sounds like taking it off will be simple.

What I do like... YOUR SEATS!! every time I see these seats I get excited!
