ACM | Understated M3 ZCP

Our customer, Chris, recently picked up this 2018 M3 ZCP. It is his first M car to date, following the trade in of an E63 Estate. While that is certainly a tough act to follow, he is falling in love with the agility and performance of this M3. Wanting to enjoy both the car and modding process with his son, his goal was to personalize the M3 without drawing a lot of attention to himself. The way to achieve the tasteful appearance was to keep the color pallet minimized. The subdued hue of the HRE finish along with the carbon fiber against Mineral Grey keeps the car very understated all while having a combination of the highest quality parts on it. Although you may not notice this drive past you if you weren't looking for it, if you do happen to catch a glimpse, its an excellent execution and a proper way to start off round 1 of modding.

Mod list:
KW V3 coil over suspension
20" HRE P104 wheels
Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires
DME Tuning Stage 1 ECU Flash
Evolution Racewerks polished charge pipes
Eventuri carbon fiber intake
RSC Tuning carbon fiber front lip with paint matched lower
M Performance carbon fiber trunk spoiler
Akrapovic gloss carbon fiber diffuser
Akrapovic Evo exhaust system
M Performance V2 steering wheel

Is that steering wheel heated? Or you lose the heated steering feature with it?

It's not heated, you loose that option with that steering wheel. I just put mine and it sucks to not have the option. Steering wheel looks great though

Wow. VERY well done and usually grey cars don't do anything for me. Absolutely love the wheels. This newer version of he Akra diffuser is so much better than the initial one. It's still just a touch too busy and curvy though I feel like it doesn't flow with the rest of the car. Maybe it's a lot better in person...

Beautiful car! I’d like to see that ass end down about 3/8” but other than that it doesn’t get much better.

On the day I drove to drop off the car at ACM I was actually passed by another stock white 2018 F80 ZCP and it left me feeling somewhat "average"...but the day we picked up our mineral gray ZCP, it was like Christmas in April.

Jeff nailed our vision; a mild mannered look with some underlying purpose.

No more awkward looks at other drivers with the same stock F80/ZCP.

When is comes to driving, the acceleration response with your stage 1 tune is amazing and your urging us to get the coil-overs installed now instead of later was excellent advice - the car is a beast but it flies under the radar which is exactly what we wanted.

With Jeff's patience and guidance - our F80/ZCP is now truly "ours".

Also - HUGE!! thanks to Matt for those wicked photos.

Jeff - don't forget about us...my sons and I are already teeing up more emails to you about what to do for phase 2.
Chris, I can't thank you enough for the high praise. I cannot tell you how happy it makes me knowing you are in love with the work performed. The emails and calls are no problem. I find its better and more appreciated when you are as informed as possible so you know and appreciate a little more where the money ends up going. No forgetting, just getting ready for the next stage , in the meantime, I truly hope there is some good weather ahead of us so both you and your son can enjoy the car.

The diffuser does have a lot going on, but looking at the lines of the diffuser, it does match up nicely to the design cues found on the rear bumper and around the car.

2nd... I've been waiting for someone to make a flat bottom with heat.

Car looks great by the way. Very tasteful.

Is the flat bottom a design flaw for heated steering wheels. I know MB had the same issue.

I'm not entirely sure to be honest.

Even the circular aftermarket wheels lose the heat function.

It's a non-starter for me with -40 winters. I'm spoiled now.

This is hot. My favorite parts are the front spoiler and wheels. Rear is sitting a tad bit high, but overall not bad!
