FCP lifetime Guarantee

I've been buying everything from FCP Euro due to their lifetime guarantee and competitive prices, so far I replaced a rear control arm and abs sensor, other than that, I got plugs, brakes and oil (I know that fluids can't be returned). Just wondered if anyone ever used it, like for brakes or any normal wear parts and can comment on the return / refund experience.

I had 2 e93's before and purchased from them, but did not keep the cars long enough to return parts.

I recall they they do actually accept oil. I personally wouldn't return oil. Seems odd. Do not see that specifically mentioned on their FAQ atm. I have been buying from them for a while, have yet to return anything.

They do accept oil as a return.

All the people who feel really smart returning used oil from their 6 cars which they change every 3k miles will be responsible for killing the goose that lays golden eggs

They sure can. I drop my oil change kits / and used brake fluid off at their office. Living in CT I get hit with sales tax, but at least I don't have to pay for return shipping. Love these guys.

Yep the lifetime guarantee is based on FCP Euro's lifetime not the buyers. It would be a shame if they go down because the program becomes too much due to people like that (over maintaining their fleet of cars at someone else's expense).

Stated on their website: “ The only exclusion to this program is empty containers with contents that can not be physically returned.
For example aerosol spray cleaners and additives that have been discharged or emptied.”

I’m in the process of returning oil right now and it leaked through the box. Hmmm

Wrap it with plastic wrap.

I completely agree with this statement. However, I've been using FCP primarily for my e36 track car that I've only had for 1 year. In that year I've spent well over $5k there and have only sent back 2 oil changes worth of oil and filters. I bought a set of track pads thinking I would keep getting new ones... only to change out to BBK kits on both my e36 and f80 after the first set. And guess what, they don't stock BBK pads.

FCP Euro actually brags and touts this on their online ads about returning oil. They even have a set of instructions on how to package it to send back (Bag ziptie and return).
