Insurance on the M4 Competition
Hey Guys,
After chatting to some fellow M4 owners I noticed that the insurance for the car differs massively! I am curious to what you pay for your M4 cars? I made a video on the topic covering my 2019 M4 competition if anyone wants to check that out? |

There are a million factors that play into insurance premiums. I pay around $70 a month with Liberty Mutual for my m3 (844 credit score, 0 tickets or accidents) 38 years old. Northwest Chicagoland.

I have 3bmws 2018 m3 zcp,2018 x3,and 2010 e90 335i and it works out to be 170 a month for all 3 full coverage. Geico has been the best there rates go down every year instead of up like other.

33 years old in Delaware. Paying $56/month.
I think I'll stop my bitching about $50 price hike for next 6 months coverage after seeing what others pay. Also to add..I have no tickets, no accidents, multi-car, homeowners, +800 credit score, doctorate degree (might not actually affect rate but then why would Progressive ask?), and defensive driving discounts.

That's so funny Bc I switched from Geico, I was with Geico for like 10 years and they started to get expensive so I looked around.. I found Allstate and Progressive to be cheaper so went with Allstate.. I was paying $450 with the same cars.. My driving record is clean no accidents nothing!!

In case you missed this earlier thread on insurance rates. It is not specific to M4 comps but still a lot of data, and goes on for 37 pages.

24 male w/ a clean record and I'm at ~$130/month with Progressive. however, pretty much every other company quoted at least $100 higher per month (same coverage), so not sure what I'm missing here...

Without posting coverage limits with deductibles and year there really is no way to know what you are comparing. My coverage is 100/300/100 but I can't remember if my deductible is $500 or $1000. For a 2014 Raptor and a 2018 F82 ZCP I pay about $228/month. Great credit, 1 speeding ticket still on file (they drop after 3 years I've been told) but one claim when I backed my trailer into a buddies truck and caused about 3K in damage. Also the state you are in matters quite a bit too. I'm in Texas and I can say Louisiana is significantly more.
