Posting price is kinda fair. You could try and get $2~3k off.

Currently looking at a 2018 M4 ZCP, Exec pkg, lighting pkg, Mineral Grey over extended Merino. 20k miles, $58,6.....not the best deal but not the worst. Thoughts?

On the flip side I got $2k more for my A4 than the local dealer offered me TWO YEARS ago.

Not a bad deal considering the market, IMO. For context - I picked up my similarly equipped F80, but with twice the miles, for $51k this year. Good luck

I've been in the market for a few months now and am looking for basically the exact speced car but as an M3. With those miles, assuming you like the color and no issues/accidents I would jump on it in this market.

Turns out it was not in that great condition.

Found a 2017 now that has individual paint and individual interior that are a couple of my favorites, 23k miles for $56k. Mint condition but jeez.... I looked at a 2017 in the summer of 2019 with 19k miles for $54,900, no individual options but all the normal carbon fiber add on bits. Having a hard time getting my head wrapped around this kind of appreciation on a now 5 year old car...can't decide if we're near the top or the equilibrium has been reset like other places in the world. (In Australia a 2018 CS is going for $118k US??? Wtf...).

Agreed... This market is insane but I need a new car and am in a position to get one of my attainable dream cars so I'm trying to stay positive that I'll find the perfect fit while accepting the current market. Seeing some of the prior deals posted here is depressing. CarGuru's price history trend is interesting but definitely doesn't help the deal lover in me. CarGuru's M3 Price History

For shits and giggles I thought perhaps I'd sell my 2016 m4 with 41k miles, and see about moving into a cheaper m2. In my previous post way back on 4/20 you can see I paid $46.9 +taxes/fees for

2016 mineral white m4
cf roof
30.5k miles
dct
mpe
full black merino leather
executive
lighting
all cameras
$86.3k msrp

On either trade or sale, carvana just offered me over $49k. That means I could make a profit on what I owe now, and in my head easily swap to an m2...

Until of course I realized EVERY single m2 with a similar amount of miles to what I have now, costs MORE than the $46.9k I paid originally. Lol what the hell

Yep, picked it up last Friday. Flew to NC to get it and drove it back to Texas. Was a fellow forum member that I got it form. And agree, felt like a really good deal! The car seems to be in almost perfect shape.

Thanks. A lot of things have changed since then. They asking 65k. Imo that's just too much, but seems to fit in with what most places are asking for similar cars.

Yeah the current prices are super high since then. I could probably sell mine for more than what I got it rn lol. I'm seeing 2018s with 55k plus miles going for $58k I would say a more realistic good deal on that would be around 56? 65 is insane lol. Honestly not worth buying a new car rn and I would hold out till prices go back to normal if you can. Just bought a new Camry last month, needed one unfortunately. Had to pay 1k over msrp markup…like really. Used to be able to buy these shits for 2-3 under msrp easy lol

However, there are still always deals to be found. Just this week me and my buddy scored a 2011 335i m sport for his daily with 88k mi for 12,250 lol we haggled the hell out of the guy and pointed out bunch of stuff and just milked it as usual haha. It had gotten major services done too. Think he had it listed for 15 and my buddy had gotten him down to 13,700. Just be patient I would say.

I bought mine back in December '20 from CarMax actually:

Paid 38k for a '15 base 6mt with 53k miles. Came with executive package, wood trim, rear window shade, and HK stereo.

It's been a pretty good purchase imo, especially from a retailer at the time. Seems like current market is a decent bump above this and it's pretty wild how fast the market has changed.

Damn, great deal indeed, then the market went crazy! The discount on my m2c wasn't quite as aggressive but was also made in the thick of the covid crises. In today's market I feel like I got a steal!
