BM3 on 6MT

I am looking to get into an F80 and interested in BM3. How much can the 6MT above the stock HP/TQ numbers? Has anyone needed to upgrade their clutch due to a tune? I would imagine DCT transmissions can handle more power but just looking to get some feedback.

stock clutch is rated for either 500 or 550 lb ft. with just a bm3 you'll be fine, but full bolt ons starts to be risky. I've got a clutchmasters fx350 and a lightweight flywheel on order to upgrade next week. was fine with full bolt ons, but when I cranked the boost to 25, it started slipping a good bit

Another thing to consider is your tires. If you are running the stock 275 or 285s in the rear, then you won't really need an upgraded clutch regardless of how much power you're running as the tires will just spin like crazy. However, if you're running 305s or some R compound wide rear tires or drag radials that will hook up, then it is more likely your clutch may fry if you add a lot of power.

Loving it! I was on the OTS Stage 2 for about 7 months, now I'm running Cary Jordan's E85 tune. The car is my daily as well, holding up well!

Here's what my car did on the dyno : stock - stage 2 - e85

Considering BM3 for my F8X as well. Sounds like 550-600lb/ft is the threshold for the 6MT. Don't think I'll hit that level with my intended modifications, but it's nice to know I can take it that far.
