While walking his dog, my neighbor followed me while I was driving by to pull in my driveway, than hit me with 21 questions about the car.

1) I saw that in a magazine and it's pretty expensive

2) Is something wrong with the muffler

3) plenty of muscle cars in the neighborhood so where does it compare to a mustang or a charger

4) man... that interior is sick

Neighbors no longer ask me why I wash my cars so much. They just send their naive kids to ask me.

You get the point. Got tired of the questions so I made an exscuse to pull into the garage and hide from the muscle car loving paparazzi.

And to those who say if you're into cars and the people in your neighborhood dont fit the financial status of a said car or that people who are financially free dont care about cars this is so untrue.

I am retiring next year and do not plan to work ever again. The M3 was a retirement gift to myself I've had my eyes on since I graduated from high school in 1987. Btw I'm 49 and retiring at 50 and will continue to buy what I want within means, without a real financial worry due to my car enthusiasm. Having an excellent retirement exit is key.

Got one the other day from a new person in the neighborhood. "Why are your car(s)always in the driveway with a tire off and your in the wheel wells, That many flat tires or broken cars?

Not easy explaining track weekends(tires, brakes, fluids) and winter and summer setups for the car and suv

Well.... they were 3-4 times my age.... living in our neighborhood... which isn't bad at all, but not to my retirement standards at all, just a stepping stone....
