Individual Leather B-Pillar Trim?

Anyone have an Individual with Leather B Pillar?

Could you post pics?

Curious exactly what they do and how it looks.

Can this even be done on an F80/2? I don't remember this being an option when we were heavily considering going all out on individual options. Then again, BMW is very accommodating when you are willing to pay. Subscribed for the answer.

I was told multiple times it could. It is above “standard” Individual outfitting, similar to leather on leather on steering wheel cowl, leather on the panels UNDER the dashboard and totally leathered doors.

I have seen it on the 5 series as well.

Just wondering how they do it on the F8x or F3x frame.

i doubt it would be a colour matched stripe like above as the door leather pattern does not extend into the b pillar

it'd just be all black by default

I agree that the 5 Series has different contours than the F8x B Pillar.

That's why I was very curious to see one from a forum member(s).

if only bmw allowed ordering of individual spare parts

i'm waiting on dealer to get back to me to see if i can individual timber trim as a spare part - factory shows no stock, so it's made to order i assume

And in USA they are very strict. They require VIN of “Individual BMW” that part is replacement for and often proof of car at Dealership, to order some Individual Replacement Parts.

I know of someone who attempted to order $16k worth of leather and was rejected.

A good leather upholstery shop should be able to work some magic and make it happen if bmw individual can't. Especially if you want black.

Most who order an Individual BMW do not order solid Black Interiors.

Communicated with BMW Individual in Germany. They did confirm they did cover B Pillar Trim in F8x F3x vehicle’s, but could not supply any pics.

Are you sure? I have ordererd one of the last M3 F80 Individual for Germany and i wanted alcantara roof and A-B-C pillar. Statement from BMW Individual was "not in the Individual programm for F80/F82". That's why I'm surprised but now its to late

Cannot speak for alcantara, but I have an email from BMW Individual in Germany (several actually) confirming the lower portion of the B Panel in Leather as available. I do not see where it would be a big deal to do so anyway.

That may be well possible but so far I've never seen a M3 with such a pillar.

That's why I started this thread!

I wanted to see what it looked like.

As someone posted months ago, a quality leather shop should be able to duplicate. Given the curve of the B Column cover, I wanted to get a visual concept of what it looked like from the Individual Studio.

Unrelated, but I had a friend try to get an alcantara headliner in his F80 and was denied because its not crash tested or something like that...

Honestly, I feel like since these trim pieces aren't very hard to remove, you'd get a much better deal doing it at a good upholstery shop anyway. I can't even imagine the insane amount of money BMW would want and the additional time added to the build.

I have the same problem with alcantara headliner. statement from BMW Individual was "out of assortment". difficult to imagine!!!!!

On my e60M5, I had Alacantra and the leather pillars to match the dash. Definitely made it feel so much cozier and special then my F80. Somebody make it happen!

The "Individual Manufaktur" program does have leather available for both the A & B Pillars. but regardless of what color(s) you've
chosen for your interiors' "Individual" leather, these will only be covered [whole, Not "trimmed", as -in that (ugly!) photo.] in Black
"Walknappa", although you may also have the option to choose to include (add) Contrast Stitching to these areas.

Look up "Individual" threads! There are lots out there, with tons of photos.

At least there were a couple of years back when I got my M4.

Unfortunately, for “lots out there” and “tons of photos”, since searching and starting this thread in Q1 of this year, as we move into Q4, no one, including myself, has been able to find a single picture of the “unicorn” on the F8x platform.
