Sadly no Rev-Match in Sport+ after the Update. Update took 4 hours (direct internet connection to munich and remote install) but everything is the same.

Damn. Thanks for update. Did they give you software version numbers new vs old you can share? What did the dealer charge you?

I'm curious if somebody with the rev matching active can share their version number and compare with your old and new...?

They didnt give me the software numbers, only said it was from august 2018. It cost 100€.

Would anybody that has rev matching enabled in sport + be willing to tell us what software version your car is running?

was at the dealer getting winter tires installed and spoke to the SA about this. He's never heard of this topic - and said my car had no software updates available. But if I could find a software version that has rev match enabled he would do some research. Thanks all!

I have an early 2018 F80 (delivered Nov 2017), 6sp transmission.
I only drive it in Sport+ mode to avoid rev match. Lately, even though
it's in Sport+, when down shifting, the throttle automatically blips to rev match (sometimes).
The software has not been updated since delivery. I know that the latest software
has rev match in all modes. Anybody else with early 2018 and earlier have this happen
while in sport+ mode? Thx

No mine doesnt rev match in sports plus mode and who told you latest software does that ?

purchased mine in june and it does not do it, i think cars built after july has rev match enabled in sport+. i just did my break in service, i did not have any rev matching in sport+, but i only picked up the car yesterday. i'll check it again and report back.

It only started doing this a few weeks back and on an intermittent basis. I would switch to sport, then econ and back to sport+ to see if it would re-set. It would only re-set when the car was off overnight. Electronic gremlin?

I know how to check iDrive software version but not actual car software - how do I check that for you?

I believe a dealer has to check that. They can do it remotely if you call into service.

my 2016 rev matches only in milktoast and sport modes, not in sport plus. My understanding is that some of the electronics update automatically via the phone thing the car has, at least the nav seems to change over time. I like the rev match, i am used to it and enjoy the feature.

My s2000 has me to rev match and it is necessary for smooth operation of the vehicle and some fun too....

Is there any chance you'd be the coolest person on this forum and call your dealer and ask them to remote into your car and confirm the engine software version???? I'd pay you in very valuable internet thumbs up emojis......

I'll call them tomorrow and see what they say. Would it's bmw Corp or the dealer that can do this ??
