Mod Update

Well eventualy got around to getting some (poor) pictures of the car with some new mods.

I have jusr fitted the following mods.

1. BMW CCD callipers and DS2500 pads alround and M2 Comp upgrade
disces
2. Eventuri induction kit.
3. Carbon engine cover (adds 75bhp).

Eventuri sounds great and the quality is as you would expect for the price.

So pleased with the brakes as direct plug and play and although only just bedded in the initail feel is far better than the OEM ones IMOP.

hoping to get the down pipes fitetd soon and possibly looking to get the Litchfiefd stage 1 map and the CC fix for peice of mind.

Looks good!

I think I'm going to go down the BBK route. Standard ones with track pads are fine, but ultimately these cars are fast and heavy, so the more braking performance you get the better, if it's going on track.

Does the air box do anything other than change the noise?

According to evolve around another 15 bhp but I take it with a pinch of salt if honest. The airflow is definatly better on looking on the test vids on you tube.
It definatly makes a woosh sound when excelerating mind.

Evolve are being optimistic unfortunately. It might give a slight power increase, but only in the dyno chamber with the bonnet open & huge fans on full power.
Practically speaking, when actually driving on a road, they've been tested & showed a decrease in power compared to stock intakes.
Not by much though. And they do sound so good.

really useful to know hard to get any real world info on these

what about the closed systems like a pipercross do they maintain performance whilst making a bit more noise??

to the OP loving the brake conversation how much did that set you back??

Sorry for the slow responce but been away for a few days. Yes there is a nice whoosh but nothing to much as dont want to sound totally like a boy racer.
I am pleased with it personnaly as said great quality and easy to fit. I will be intrested to see if and what the power gains are but with 450 I am sure its exremily marginal if honest.

Ref the brakes I managed to get the calipers from ebay at 1k and then the discs and larger protection plates from BMW cost me £1300 and anothe £550 for the DS2500 pads fr/rear.
As mentioned I was going to go for AP but wanted to keep as OEM as possible.

hope this helps,

Jamie

Love the modifications, has the car been lowered? The stance is great, my non-comp pack seems to sit so much higher.

Hello Tom, yes I have the BMW HAS kit (only because of warranty concerms). It on the half way setting as origanaly the car was way to low when i collected it.

Really please with it and easy to adjust if you want very low or raised for dailey driving. Managed to negotiate a great price from the dealer also.

Car looks great Jamie. Did you change brakes all around or just front calipers?

Many Thanks,

i changed the discs and callipers all round. Rear callipers are as large as the fronts OEM's (Nissan GTR Pad size). Discs are the upgraded 400mm M2 Comp OEM ones. Noticable larger on the rear with more cooling viens/space from disc surface to bell.
