One of the nice things about the M4 manual (compared to last car, Audi S4) is that it is available on an iPad. I like to review bits and pieces of the manual and make note of specific things I want to check in the car later a bit at a time. Wish I had the time to spend a full day or two with the manual and the car getting to know it.

OP just pointing out you can go through manual while sitting next to your wife on the couch without her even knowing to help keep fiddling time in the car to a minimum.

The perception of the settings is pretty subjective. You might want to read through this thread though to see what people prefer and why: http://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sho....php?t=1048807 |

However what is there to learn honestly? Most everything is pretty straight forward aside from some little things that you might not know. For example, the button to adjust the Right or Left Mirror. If you leave that said button on the Left, when you put the car into reverse, the Passenger Mirror will tilt down to look on the ground. Or, holding the unlock button on your Key-fob for extended amount of time will roll down all of your windows + Moonroof (if you have it.) Edit: And the M Settings, I think it has been said several times on the forums here. Set M1 or M2, set one of them to your Full Comfort. Then set the other to a more Sport Setting. Then get used to pressing the Full Comfort setting for daily driving.
