Go with the akebono man. I had the power stop and they clunk when changing directions more and don't have as good of stopping power. I dumped them after a few thousand miles and I'm very happy I did that.

Did you check fcpeuro? Lifetime replacement as well...

got it thanks. life time replacement seems too good to be true! especially for rotors that are 250-300$ a piece

I have had power stop for awhile (3+ years), is there really a positive difference with the akebonos?

In my opinion, yes. I really didn't feel confident with the power stop pads at all. Less bite and longer stopping distances. With the akebono it's much better.

100% on board with these comments. Akebonos initial bite is almost like stock pads, but I'd say 10-20% less grippy. It's really just about right.

Dust more less the same with akebono vs power stop? I agree less bite and seems like longer stopping distance but its been so long since I have been on anything other than power stop its hard to remember vs stock. Never forget the amount of dust with the stock pads though, PSD from it.

Yeah about the same between the two. You won't regret the akebono and will appreciate the better braking. For me it's a no brainer. I got mine from fcp euro.

Getting ready to order the Akebonos. Thanks for the links to rock auto! These are significantly more expensive at FCP.

My front pads were 90.22 when I got them from fcp. Way more expensive now...

Another vote for Akebonos, replaced all 4 corners last year. They feel great and the dust compared to stock pads is like night and day.

FCPEURO also does lifetime replacements on all their products
Any other parts needed when doing a pad swap or is that it?

Just a basic pad swap then no. I've done this myself on my M2

I am ordering from Rock Auto now; it says the front pads include a wear sensor but the rear makes no mention of this; is this correct? Do I have to buy anything else? Thanks in advance!

I ordered from Rock Auto and was worried about how this was listed as well ... The rears did come with wear sensor even though it's not specifically listed like the fronts.

Once in a blue moon but I don't really notice it as it's not as pronounced as in other cars I've driven

Another vote for Akebonos. Almost OEM bite and night and day difference in dust, plus it's a no brainer to order from FCPEuro, you pay for them ONCE.
