Headliner cleaning?

I have an F83 and was wondering what products/ methods people use to clean the headliner?
Car has an odor I’d like eliminated and need to clean all surfaces

Hoping to tackle this tomorrow and would appreciate any advice.

I plan on damping a towel and running it across the convertibles headliner

If you think the odor is coming from the headliner (but either way) you need an enzyme cleaner - that's the only way to attack odors.

You can buy them anywhere, but if you want something specific to cars you can order Superior Products' Heavy Duty Enzyme Cleaner (part no C14) from O'Reilly's and it'll come in the next day. You generally have to speak with a manager or in-store specialist as the counter people have no clue.

Just be careful and don’t wet too much or you may end up with sags if the glue is affected.

Actually I have. One session for 30 minutes without the car running/ air flowing. Didn’t do much.

Next did a session for an hour with the car running and neck warmers on full blast. Seems to have cleared out most of the odor however recently there’s still an unpleasant scent in the AC system.

I’ll give the enzyme juice a shot, haven’t gotten around to doing the interior yet since it’s been cold out
