OLED Tail Lights for F80 M3

That would really really suck if the LEDs die out within 1 yr. I am hoping for 10+ yrs. My xenon lightbulbs on my 2008 E90 are still going strong but I don't drive as much at night.

I contacted them for that and it’s for min 20 sets. They’re pretty much all from the same supplier.

as mentioned above, the price stated is for 20 sets min order.

i tried to buy and already make payment, and they contacted me about the price error and refunded my purchase price. And ujnfortunately i didnt even get the full refund due to currency exchange. So i suggest don't try it haha

Some one I know on instagram ordered a set from a seller and paid about 1300 bucks and they look and work flawlessly but im sure that price will drop a lot real soon

A new CA based company dropped a near OEM set due to be released in 2021.

I personally know the owner of the car in the pics, and these are in fact legit.

Yeah I saw dubsesd post about it on Instagram. But there is very limited information regarding those that he released. Also, no pricing information. All we got was that they'll be released early next year.

I’m in for IG updates. The Solas units state they are OLED so we’ll see what the pricing is when released.

I have mine on order from Alibaba either way. Hopefully will receive mid Dec.

It would be great once we see the Sola's ones and alibaba ones side to side. Not sure where the former are produced. Also this is great that the f80 platform is still getting new mods developed

That's the thing I'm worried about is that the Alibaba ones won't really look like the oled tiles from the M4. I feel like they will be little pieces of plastic with led lights attached which would be a little upsetting. It's like the black line f80 tails how the red plastic looks like it's dollar store plastic.

I've had two sets of aftermarket taillights, depo and eagle, LCI for the E46.

Their quality was horrible at best, and both sets died. Ended up buying OEM eventually.

I love the GTS tailights so I hope these work out!

I mean for $270~ for a pair I am honestly not expecting much but for the sake of everybody who ordered I hope they come out nice and functional!

Does it really matter if it is OLED? What advantage is there to oled vs led for this application? For TVs it's mainly the contrast ratio but for taillights will it even be noticeable?

it's purely an aesthetic consideration, but I don't think it's foolish

I have an F80 CS and am still bummed it did not come with OLED rears like the M4 CS/GTS

What about the Oled can't you replicate with leds though? Forgive my ignorance. Going back to the tv example you can't really tell in a lot of cases between a good led tv and an oled unless you compare the blacks. Is it something else like how you can arrange an oled that you can't do with an led? Thanks
