Colourlock- great stuff

The "color" is dead on...
Steps taken are exactly as directed.

1) use CL cleaner.
2) wipe with damp cloth and let dry.
3) sand rough areas smooth with CL sanding pad.
4) apply dye by rubbing, drying each coat with heat gun. 2 coats.
5) apply dye by dabbing the leather each coat and drying with heat gun. 2 coats. NOTE: (It will be bubbly, once heat is applied it drys and gives texture)
6) apply CL conditioner.

The cleaner and conditioner did wonders for the leather steering wheel. A nice supple matte finish.

I did the same in the exact spot on my Silverstone Comp seats with Colourlock! I too was pleasantly surprised with the results!

Excellent work, thanks! Mind sharing a link to the exact kit (including color code for Sakhir)? That would be awesome... been meaning to tackle my bolster...

Thanks. I just bought it off amazon since the Colourlock US site has been down for quite some time. There's only 1 Sakhir orange BMW code that I know of for the interior. I just bought the standard SO kit and the cleaner/condition, sanding pad, and a cleaning brush separately.

Would have a link to the product you bought?

The drivers bolster on my Silverstone comp seat could use a touch up.

Thanks

No problem. This fix is so easy and I'm a very impatient person...
I tested it first on a scuffed area of the SO armrest since I have the M perf one now and was surprised. I couldn't tell it was repaired.
If you have some hard creases in the side bolster by the door you can also heat the leather up to relax it and smooth the creases out. A hair dryer doesn't get hot enough but use caution. Always move the heat gun back and forth and back off multiple times.
