How does this affect drone at speeds?

Doesn't the valve open automatically when you step on the throttle in Sport and Sport+?

It does. In sport or sport + when going WOT the valve will always open, and in most situations in sport + the valve will be open.

With this mod, there has been confirmed drone in DCT transmissions in higher gears, particularly 7th. Without the mod, even in sport + the valves will close in certain rpm ranges in 7th to combat this.

Personally, with the mod the drone wasn't bothersome.

The most annoying part about the stock exhaust when you stop pressing the accelerator pedal valves close quickly, and you cant make loud downshifts..
