I've got about 21000 miles, 2nd owner. Daily driver but this winter I'll probably park it.
Bootmod3 stage 1. Very reliable so far. One exception: Car does NOT like the cold weather, and she's got some stalling on startups in temps below 10f/-10c. Hence my decision to drive a beater from November to March this year.

Maybe what this thread tells me is I don't have to be overly obsessive about looking for ultra low mileage models...

"Died" at 75k. Walnut blast, normal maintenance, and more were needed.. Which is fine but they still don't know whats wrong with it. Loss of power, drivetrain malfunctions, and obviously the engine light kept coming on. Thousand on thousands spent just figuring it out. I loved that car so much but it let me down in the end and I got rid of it. Not sure if I can complain because it was issue free until very recently. Focus has shifted to a Gallardo.

2016 M3 Dct bought as demo. Used by BMW dealer manager. Purchased in 2017 with 4000 miles. 43,000 miles currently on the clock.
Replaced control arm bearings on passenger side at 21,000 miles under warranty. Engine drivetrain malfunction light came on which caused car to go into limp mode at 30,000 miles after leaving the dealer for installing new rear tires, but went out and performed normal after turning car off then on again. Took back to dealer to replicate the problem. No chance of that happening of course but it was data logged in the cars computer. Dealer noted. 13,000 miles later and it's never happened again and car runs flawlessly. Normal rock getting stuck in brake shield from time to time. These were minor issues for how many smiles the F80 has given me as a daily driver that doesnt gets pampered and is driven spiritedly. Would I buy again? Of course because there is nothing that compares in its price range. |

Previous F82 has 65k, had some common issues such as leaky intercooler at around 25k and rear diff bushings at 60k.
Currently at 6k in my F80 and had the crankhub spin , luckily only jumped timing a bit and had it replaced with a upgraded hub. |

Did you go through warranty for the sch? How much did you pay for the upgrade with labor?

Yup 2018 ZCP manual. Car was stock for around 5k miles, an hour after doing bootmod3 and DP it spun.
