We also try our version of eqaul lenght as following =>

Stock dps without cats
Midpipe main cats removed and addet 2 small resonators (custom made)
Mid resonator modded inside X pipe
After midresonator we jump to 76mm (3") (rest of midpipe following in dual 3") back into 2.55" to fit an MPE muffler.
(modded stock Y section to fit on MPE connections)

Are you planning on adding an x-pipe or a crossover after that U-bend? Because that defeats the purpose of that extra length from the U-bend to equalize the spacing of the pulses and then blend the pipes, which creates that balanced 6cyl sounds two 3 cylinder sounds.

Anyone know if the AA midpipe be modified to accommodate this?

Take a look at my photo in post #3 of this thread. It's the exact opposite of the AA mid. AA merges as soon as possible and stays merged as long as possible. It's unequal from the beginning. The point of the equal length exhaust is to separate the pipes until they're equal length and then merge them.

I don’t think you understand the concept because AA midpipe merges just after the downpipes

Yes I know, exhaust is not finished yet, we run just out of time.

We add a Merge and build the rest of the exhaust also in 3".

Is there also an x-pipe before being EQ? Or was that part "blocked" out to prevent crossing over?

Interested in sound clips, a few of us have been wanting to hear an EQ + MPE. I bet it will sing, especially without secondary cats!

And what's the verdict? Do you like it? Surprised you didn't do an X pipe with all that room and the mufflers you chose.

I'm happy with it. Sounds better than anything I had before a lot smoother.

We could of done an x pipe you're right but went with an H it's was a little easier with the angles, maybe when I go back I'll try the X.

Have to go back and make a resonator pipe for the drone I have at 125hz.

That's great to hear. Upload a video when you get a chance! I believe you're the first member with the dual H pipe approach with a different muffler than stock. Would be great to hear the difference vs. what's been posted so far.

Wow can't wait to hear that! To be honest, I wish I hadn't gone with an crossover x-pipe, I liked the h-pipe sound better, has more of a gruffy part throttle tone, with all of the advantages of an x-pipe at wide-open (at least to my ears).

Problem with a midpipe solution is there is no easy way to get a clamp connection to the rear silencer as the pipes are not straight enough and you can only use clamps on straight sections.

This means cutting and welding at the rear silencer which is not "bolt on".

BINGO!

And I'm personally not a fan of the stock muffler, or any of the valved iterations I tried with my equal length efforts

Valveless from here on out

I hope so!

I tried a valved set up with a Borla muffler, two different Magnaflows, and OEM. I found that when the valves were open there were weird tonal changes because some of the exhaust still passed through the muffled area. When the valves were closed..ugh.. And an x-pipe made it worse.
The set up I like is a merge into a single pipe once they are EL, then split at the rear bumper for the dual outlets.

As far as I'm aware, the approach top gear is taking is based on my design, with the other side being a muffler bypass valve for unfiltered inline 6 goodness. I can't wait to hear it. These last 2 weeks feel like months without my car.
