2020 X3 M40i.

Amazingly capable and fun. They truly took it to the next level.
Everything in it is amazing. Except iDrive 7.0 has some bugs to be worked out.

I've been thinking about upgrading to that X.3 M 40 for my winter car as well. However I'm not gonna get a new one, I've been waiting for an 18 or 19 to show up. Please give us some details on how you feel it handles.

Handling, acceleration and braking are truly amazing on it. It’s the most underrated BMW out there. It handles great for a new BMW (and even better if you get a diff and M adaptive suspension - which i didn’t get).

I had an E70 X5M and this is on par for acceleration. It almost feels faster. It’s ridiculous.

I got the 2020 because used ones seem to keep their value. Most are in high $40s used for 2018. I got this brand new 2020 at almost $10k off MSRP - low $30s. So it made sense to go new until used drops to mid $30s.

2020 will have less burbles and pops but gets a newer engine with 382 hp, live cockpit (iDrive 7 kinda), and USB-C connections (not a critical feature).
