That's $1,199.00 plus installation. Quite a bit cheaper! I'm leaning towards this but the problem is finding an installer around the Seattle, WA area.

Anyone got any tips on a reputable suitable installer?

Many thanks
For a cat back exhaust (I don't care how good it sounds) that is just crazy high. I ended up with a ZCP, so the exhaust sounds fine to me. The only I may change out is downpipes and maybe do tips, but the stock cat back exhaust flow wise seems to be fine for most applications.

Good luck with your choice!

AWE sounds pretty damn good for less than half the cost ($3500) of an MPE that it's known to crack.
Thats another good point.. The MPE is suffering som quality control issues.. I have seen several posts about this.. Some even after a couple months.

True but it's a straight swap by BMW.

So it's a non issue if fitted by them.

Honestly man I would just leave the rear section.. The Zcp have a decent rear section with aftermarket dp and a AA midpipe.. That's what I have just deciding a dp for now.. sounds sick..

If you running stock dp get a non resonated Remus midpipe! Most aggressive midpipe you can get, louder than AA. Sounds amazing with ZCP and stock dp!

I’m in the same boat as the OP. How does the Fabspeed compare to Akraprovic? I would like the deepest sounding exhaust with least rasp

BMW or not, why would you want to buy an item that it's known to crack within months of installation?

It's like saying you'd like to buy chargepipes from BMW because they are BMW and if they crack is on BMW.

Down the road a cracking exhaust is not a good choice.

Nah.

It's a minority of people and that kind of thing happens with aftermarket products all the time.

BMW will replace it straight swap without fuss.

Charge pipes pop because they mod the car in a way BMW never designed.

Plus it's a great sounding exhaust.

It sounds pretty good.

My charge pipes cracked at stock level at 4000 miles on the middle of a freeway on a rainy day. I still have nightmares about it
