How do I make my F80 ZCP sound like this?

Other than V8 swap it?

I found this video on IG today and still can't believe how an S55 can sound like this:

I've owned 2 E92 M3's so far and I might get flamed for this but I never thought it sounded that good.

I've tried many different exhaust setups, from MPE, Eisenmann, OEM Mod, AA, etc. Eisenmann Race + TP's was my favorite.

The only time it sounded pretty good was 6-8K+, mostly because it's all induction noises. It also sounds pretty good just stationary and revving. In daily driving though, under 3k it has a deep muscle car rumble (which I'm not too much a fan of), from 3k-4k there is this warble which many E9x M3 owners call "exotic" sounding, to me it sounds like a G35 with an exhaust. . Then from 5-6k, that's when the rasp hits.

I had hoped the S65 sounded even a tiny bit like it's bigger brother the S85 but sadly not even close. You know, a small displacement V8 that revs to over 8k, ITB's, etc, I expected Ferrari like vocals.

Good find. That post intrigued me so I looked up more of that account's videos, but the videos of that car after the one above doing a pull sound just like any M4 with exhaust. Reading comments in the post, I see that they say the ticking noise is the port injection. Maybe it only makes that ticking at idle/low throttle/RPMs or is only loud enough to change the note at that range.

Had me so excited for a second.

Even without that ticking, which kinda makes it sound like it has a hot cam, the exhaust sounds great. I have the AWE Resonated switchpath exhaust and I wish my car sounded that throaty.

Yeah, but something tells me the audio is edited. If you look at the way the video shakes when the car is revved, it's clearly one of those "dramatic shake" effects. Most exhaust videos at that angle will just fog up the lens at best, not shake the camera like that. That combined with how different it sounds compared to the pull in the later videos just makes me suspicious that the video isn't edited. Aside from the RK tunes single turbo swap, which is far more believable, this is the most unique sounding M4 out there. People would be lining up for these if that sort of tone existed.

Fully prepared to take it back if I see more evidence, but it just doesn't add up to me if I compare this clip to the videos after it.

That M4 has a GMG exhaust, it's a single 3.5" exhaust from mid pipe to the rear section, and the splits into a dual outlet. Makes sense that the length of the single pipes is sufficient enough to balance and equalize the unequal lengthed downpipes to make a better sound.

I had AA 3.5" single mid splitting into dual Remus rear section on my M2C and it sounded nothing like that. If I had listened to the video above without seeing what car it is, my first guess would have been a V8 Mustang.

Exactly. Not only do the later pulls in that IG account not sound anything like that video, the 2 youtube videos I posted below of GMG exhaust sound more or less the same as any single mid exhaust. Same tone with less rasp. It's either that port injection system doing strange things at idle/low revs, some other mod we don't know of, or the audio is edited. Regardless, it's not the exhaust.

Sounds like a straight 6 to me when he revs the car? Has zero v8-like qualities, but maybe he did do something different from the GMG video's such as different non-OE downpipes?
