[Video] Is S55 wastegate rattle @ 3k RPM normal?

This is not an exhaust rattle.

I didn't think it was; I was under the impression that it's exhaust on a brace but I had it up on a lift yesterday with several master techs at a very reputable shop in California and they said it's coming from the turbo area.

It could potentially be a loose V-Band around the downpipes I had put in last week. Perhaps I should show this video to the shop that installed it.

I've noticed this sound ever since the install but I was under the impression that the catalytic converter was masking it before.

But, you could be right, I hadn't considered that it could simply be the V-band.

I've emailed the shop that put my DPs in last week; I'll only name them if I wind up being either very pleased or very displeased, especially since the install was $50 more than had been quoted on the phone, and since I had three grease smears on my SO leather seat when the car was returned to me.

I have the same problem too after downpipes were installed. Only happens when I first start the car. Sound comes from the exhaust tips. Sometimes under heavy load I get that annoying rattle also.

I get this noise as well after DP install.
I also get this noise/rattle at deceleration in gears (I have 6MT) around 3k rpm. every gear, every time around 3k rpm.
annoying as hell.

Exactly my situation but I have stock DP, aa midpipe, and stock rear (ZCP). Perhaps the stock DP, or secondary cats were masking this sound?
