Kubax86 did an awesome job this morning. Remotely controlled my laptop to update my firmware. I had factory installed Carplay and EVO_M now upgraded to EVO_X and now have full screen CarPlay. Works perfectly. 2018 F06.

Was apprehensive at first, but Kubax86 answered all my questions patiently and we were done in about an hour.

The flashing did overwrite the few mods I had made to the headunit using BimmerCode previously, but I knew about that before hand. I will code the changes again and give an update later this week.

I had to buy ENET cable and a drip car battery charger (both from Amazon).

Would highly recommend bimmer-remote.com

I ordered an ENET cable but I’ll have to borrow a windows laptop I suppose from someone. Is there much to this or can I borrow a neighbor’s laptop for an afternoon?

For correct FDL Mapping, you need latets Launcher PRO 3.7 or E-SysX, neither of which is currently available.

After a lot of procrastination on my end, finally got around to have the coding done on my M4.

First off, a big appreciation to kubax86 and everyone at Bimmer-Remote for working through me getting a good time to have the coding session, and then the many technical issues I had during the coding session!

A couple of suggestions for anyone that gets their car coded, make sure you have a good, stable Wi-Fi connection beforehand. I had to use my phone hotspot which wasn't the most ideal but the team was able to make do.

Once the coding was done, no lights or errors and I was able to easily pair my iPhone 12 to the car, since I already installed the WiFi antenna. iDrive 6 has a bunch of new bings and bongs that I'm not totally used to, but CarPlay makes my car feel new, and it's super responsive!

Big ups again to kubax86 and the team, this is the real deal service, I recommend everyone give them a look.
