new to me gts..

hey guys. just got a black gts last week here in Toronto.. had about 5800km on it. added 700 in less then a week. what a fun car! so coming from a other cars, ive sorta started to ground myself in bmws . the gts and very nice e46 are in the stable as of now. couple questions.. I have the manual , but as time has gone on where is good point to start with suspension set up? alignment? 85percent back roads 15 de days.
second , is there a way to tune out the burbles?
finally anything else I should keep my eyes one.
thx>>!

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the GTS!

The stock suspension is quite good at the settings the manual shows for the street and the track. Many opt to keep it at 'track height' permanently with the street shock settings.
To drive to/from the track, I change high and low speed compression to zero for additional comfort. The car still feels well controlled.

You absolutely need camber plates. I've had really good experiences with ground control since 2010 so that's what I use on the GTS.

The way to not have burbles is to run the throttle on efficient mode. You can also get BM3 and not tune but just change the burbles.

Welcome to the GTS club!

Keep your eyes on the water consumption. Check the many threads in here on remediation if its not consuming water like a fish when you get on it.

thx guys. yes really enjoying it. ive been watching the water. seems fine so far.. but im really just ripping up around north of city. got it from phaff reserve high 130s. I consign/trade all my cars with them and always been happy.
ill look into camber plates, I just got some turner plates for my e46. they seemed great quality when they arrived. and new cups not week. !

Congratulations!
Welcome to the club! You will notice that water consumption is low for street use. No water used under sustained 5000rpm so it takes a while to empty the tank, even ripping it up.
I do not know about Canada but prices are on the way up here as well.
Enjoy!

Another great option for camber plates:

I personally like these over Ground Control.

Just buy a few filter stones, and replace the filter now. The only way I could really consume water on the street was up in canyons where I'm in 2nd and 3rd and WOT frequently for 15 miles.

On the track I consume 1 tank of water to 1 tank of gas, more or less. Top off the water tank at the start of the day and check after each session.

There's a couple of threads talking about water consumption + valve block replacement if you search around. It sounds like valve block replacement has a real high rate. Mine was replaced after a lack of water consumption on track.

Have fun out there, and get camber plates.
