Engine knock (count)

To make this short, my f82 has a custom tune. When I view the knock count, it reveals a peak of 0.16 and a few lesser knock counts detected. My question is, are these significant events due to the small value?

How do I post a log here? The most I've seen so far is -13 degrees. Thanks for responding btw. It's been like 3 years since I've been on the forums (dsm) and once you post, you wake up to 50 comments lol... not so much here

Which platform is it tuned with? Most common are BM3 tunes and they provide a link for sharing.

Please can you do a proper wide open throttle log, that log is basically useless.

Start at the bottom of third gear (traction off, sport plus) and log a full throttle pull to the top of third.

Just to note, your map is for E85 yet your actual ethanol content is 70

The variation was likely taken into account during the custom tuning. My CJordan tune is also labeled "E85," despite the E content at the local station typically hitting around 70-75%.

I never drive on the street with traction off, only euro mdm (I'll probably do some dyno time in the near future. ) my real concern was what is considered too much knock when looking at the log? Yeah, I have flex fuel sensor with bm3 custom tuning.

Thanks for the feed back

When doing logs you really need to drive traction off, otherwise you get throttle closure on pulls.

It's very hard to read a log that isnt a clean pull.. small knock events can happen during normal driving though.

If you can do a wide open throttle pull, threw 3rd gear and ideally threw 4th as well, it would be much easier to see what's going on.

Thanks a lot Ghost for your response. I'm going to get her buttoned up for a dyno session and then post some logs. I'm on mpss and they're worn. Figuring out a set of tires and bilsteins coils on the way, then traction off, I'll feel more confident off the track. Once again, thanks for your response. I'll update this post once I have some solid logs to post.
