2015 Nav Issues
Is anyone else having an issue where that nav is telling you to exit a highway and then immediately get back on?
There is no traffic, and the traffic data is all green. I have also turned of everything except prefer highways. My last BMW Nav was perfect, but this one is all over the place.

Mine does that randomly too. I think it's just the way the logic is; it brainfarts all the time. I usually map it out on my phone first so I have a general idea then I send the address to my nav via the BMW REMOTE app and then go from there.

It is a Garmin unit and all of my other Garmins do that on some occasions including going through some areas that are not that great to get to a location. That seems to happen regardless of settings, but it does not happen all the time. My wife thinks Garmin gets paid to direct people to certain locations

Are you sure it's a farm in? I've never heard this before.

I thought the Nav was using some variant of Google maps data but I benchmarked it one day home on the GBT during rush hour and it took me all over the place, route optmization is definately some problem. I never use the nav anyways, just have my Waze running for cops and crap notifications on the road and it has better route and re-route logic.

I thought the newer nag was Nokia map based, although I'm not sure about the engine underneath.
My 2013 I though had the same NAV and it was perfect. Don't understand what happened. |
