Wheel bearing replacement

Hello,

Today I went to BMW dealer for front brake pads and rotors replacement After two hours they told me that my front wheel hub-bearings need to be also replaced. My car mileage is 48000 km - that is around 30000 miles. It its possible that wheel bearing failed so fast?

i have 60k on my car and mine sounds like it needs replacing too.
