Yes I agree but you know how it is, anything for a quiet life.....

I plan to fit it with the help of my friend, hopefully Friday. It's only 3m tape so doesn't look too complex. Mainly getting the old one and tape off will be the trickiest part.... finger crossed.....

A second pair of eyes to ensure central alignment of the new one and we should be good....... providing it fits well....... I have been assured that the fit is good though so I'm not expecting any drama's.

haha sweet. that looks cool (the spoiler obviously) I wish I knew I could have ordered an M4 spoiler, as I too would have chosen it over the M3 one...

are you fitting it yourself?
The boot line looks different to me, how is fitting the spoiler possible?

You're right the M3 and M4 have completely different boot lines and shapes.

That's why I've ordered an M4 style M3 spoiler

It's designed for the M3 in the M4 style so should fit no problems

Thanks

It was basically a full decontamination cleansing session, then onto a one stage machine polish all over then coated in C1 and Exo.

The glass was polished and treated, wheels were coated and all interior cleaned and coated

A few places do an M4 like spoiler for the M3. Be very surprised if the actual m4 one fits?

I doubt very much the std M4 one would be even close to the M3 fitment. As has been said they are completely different shape and fitment.

Generally a new car detail will vary wildly depending on who you use and the coatings that are applied.

For example if you go with the very best Gtechniq coatings they take about 10-15 hours to cure fully so you're into a two day job and associated costs etc.

Mine was £325 for this car with a local guy that I know so completely worth the outlay in my opinion.

If you're thinking of getting it done though don't wait too long. Otherwise the correction work can end up taking longer and the cost will go up accordingly.

Agree with that - you're in for a lot more dosh if you leave it so long they have to do corrective preparation.

Car looks gorgeous Ade

Car looks awesome, so nice to see MG with some mods

I think the tips, diffuser and spacers make the rear end look great!! Thinking I will do the same just cannot make up my mind on the size of the spacers and if I get the rear spoiler (Mine will be a M4)

I'm still loving it really. For the first time today I thought two things..

The exhaust isn't that much "fun". It's louder with the controllers on and valves open but it doesn't have that spine tingle of a proper exhaust system that sort of car deserves..... I'm going to just have to live with that for now as the missus will kill me if I start throwing any more cash at it!

I'm starting to get used to the power already..... I was giving it some running "beans" I believe is the technical term and whilst it is very quick the short shifting is really starting to annoy me. It feels like it's just starting to pull hard and you have to shift making me want more....
I'm at about 500 miles now so will have to just live with it until the RIS but I really want to ring it out and see where it's at

Fingers crossed only a week or two until I can get enough miles on to get it booked in and then really unleash it

Ade, give this guy a shout if you want a better sound

http://www.exhaustmods.co.uk/

I had mine done at the weekend and it sounds insane. However, I had the valves unplugged. The burble and pop you get when you come off accelerator at 3k is now a full on crack. Basically the car sounds like it has the MPE fitted. I had to connect the valves back up yesterday as on a cold start it was simply too much. CG controller arrived this morning however and will be going on later

I know air temp/humidity does have factors for a cars behaviour, but sometimes my car behaves like my wife. basically I get about 5-6 good consecutive days twice a month. the others days are made up of a week of PMT (Pre //M Tantrums) followed by a whole week of loosing fluids and being generally stubborn, jumpy and inconsistent and another week in the middle of this cycle when 'ovulation' occurs (AKA engine farts) and the pains are back.... I can't win. be consistent for F*** sake

my previous sexy blonde E92 never behaved this way, nor the hot little pocket rocket M135. but this biatch is one temperamental madam..

sorry OP
Could be to do with traction control ? Rather obtrusive in this car. MDM is much better

Funnily enough I was going to get in contact with Paul. Think I'm going down that route with mine.

Lol great minds think alike eh?

As I'm not chasing power and I think the Cyba tips have sorted the look I wanted, spending 3k and up just for a better sound just seems like madness to me!

If I was tuning it, I'd probably think differently but just for sound this seems like a decent idea!

If anyone wants to have a listen let me know!

Out if curiosity what exactly does Paul do to the exhaust? just disable the valves or adjust the silencers, etc?
