the Aventador SV, McLaren 675LT and Porsche GR3RS were also giving me a hard on, but sadly it's like watching the best looking lap dancers dry humping you and teasing you with no chance of ever taking them home

Good work
cheers mate. it took some negotiating with the boss (work, not home) to assist with deposit and the finance discussions have been going on for 2 weeks with various brokers... most declined.

I just thought YOLO. fuck it you cant take it with you when you're gone so spend it/borrow it while you're young(ish) and can still work to pay it off. to me, life's all about experiences and making something happen when you want it bad enough. sure, i'm going to have moments of thinking 'what a dick' why do I need to spend sooo much on a car. way more than my monthly mortgage in fact, but hey I love cars and the feeling I get from them. trouble is I like changing them a lot too...

I'm bound to get a load of jealousy, filthy looks and wank*r signs when driving it but I'm quite thick skinned and can take it. plus if they want to get out and talk face to face, i'm game

i'll post a few more pics and impressions if anyone's interested on Friday/Saturday after I've collected it. I may not sleep for a couple of days now so expect 4am rambling across the forum

Look forward to your award winning photos Damo!

Can't wait to hear about the car and your impressions, I think you'll get good reactions whilst you're out and about in the car, it's the best of British after all!

I'm not convinced you will. I've been fortunate enough to have driven both an 650S (which is why I absolutely hate you ) and a 458 Italia and the McLaren almost categorically got the thumbs up from absolutely everyone. It was the Ferrari that got the most haters.

Must be a good old GB thing - none of that Italian tat!!

that's true. think of the increased VAT, road tax, fuel, insurance premium tax etc.... tax tax and more tax. fucking bastard government should give me a medal for keeping HMRC employees in work and paying for public services

Had a look on GVE's website car look fantastic, what a machine! According to fastest laps it does 100mph in 5.8 seconds!

I didn't drive any in the end.. I discounted it for some reason.. The sound and presence beats them all but I read it wasn't a particularly connected drive and not much feel.. Did you see this months top gear magazine with the spider shoot out 488, 650s and huracan? Plus Chris Harris raves about the Macca so much I had to have one.

Will do. I'm away after next week for about a month on work so next week works. Will give you both a shout.
